Sorry, have to disagree with your thinking.

Years ago I worked in a supermarket and would always do the following:

    1. Hand back coins into customers hand first
    2. Hand back notes second
    3. Fold receipt in half (and sometimes in half again) and place on customers hand last

    Reasons for the above:

    1. There's nothing worse than coins being placed on top of notes and trying to get them into your pocket/purse
    2. As per reason 1
    3. People generally want to put notes & receipts into their pocket/purse. By folding into a suitable size the customer isn't left standing at the till for ages trying to sort out coins & bits of paper and by folding it in on itself, you are protecting the stuff that's printed on the receipt

That does make perfect sense, maybe I'm just too suspicious of Mr T and their sneaky ways!!!

I agree with this, plus the amount of vouchers people get given these days from supermarkets makes it easier for the customer to keep. If the receipt and vouchers are folded together, less chance of losing them :)

i had one deleted yesterday- someone posted on grabbit about graze boxes and giving a code to use- if you use a specific persons code, they get £1 commission, so i replied asking if they were going to donate that commission to charity- i didnt see any responses as it had been pulled by the time i logged back in again
