Hi everyone, not been on at all to comment this week as DS has been to Taekwondo every night this week training for a big comp at the weekend, so mums taxi service has been on overdrive.
Didn't even manage to go to T's while he was training as he wanted to show me how well he was doing:)

Hugs to all who need them,
Congrats to those who deserve them
and welcome back HC drinks on you???? Mines an Irn Bru.:j

Oh, ummm, errr, I've left my wallet at home.
  • just caught up :)
Been a busy day for me.
Doc appointment first thing, took a lot longer than either of us thought it would. Had to restart my meds, too much getting ontop of me. Saw doc who I first seen when DH died and she agreed that I was no better than when she went on maternity leave.
Had to get an update on my hospital referal, they're still waiting on the consultant getting back to them.
Had a meeting about expanding our after school club, we're starting a youth club (other local one closed due to chuch building being demolished and rebuilt) and participating in the 'Respect' project, a cross-community project. Very keen to get these going and hope they succeed :)
Helped organise my cousins DDs birthday party for Saturday.
Picked DS up from school and helped with homework
got tax return done and so relieved I did

Then spent 5 - 6 hrs catching up on here so now time for bed
    Goodnight all

Argue a like-for-like replacement, they are giving you the corsa because it's a cheap car to fob people off with, with a bit of 'asking nicely' I've no doubt they could find you an estate or people-carrier at least.

Point out to them that you currently pay the premium of an MPV, not the premium of a corsa which would most likely be a darm sight less!

Hi guys - still catching up after doing Mr 3Dogs' Tax Return online, with 1 1/2 hours to spare   but just to keep you up to date, I've been to see Mam twice again today and she was fine - up in her chair, and showered and hair washed, when I got their lunch time, and they took her down to hairdressers when I left at 3.45pm. When my sister got there at 4.15 pm, Mam was sitting in the tv lounge with her hair all nice. My sister was giving her her dinner when I got there and we sat in the tv lounge while she ate her soup and dinner. Then, before we left, they got her back to bed and she had her nebuliser, by which time she was tired so I think she would have gone to sleep easily

So, I saw my Mam in a chair for the first time in 14 months :j :j

Thats lovely 3dogs, I can relate to how difficult it must be to leave your Mum on an evening. Hope they can keep up the good work:) Its an awful position to be in.

    Mint crisp whisper ?

least you gave it a go, keep trying at it and with practise you will soon be cross lining :D

seriously for a minute, if your painter says that colour wont suit this room with your carpet/curtains/furniture/cushions...probably listen to him/her.

the bright orange was a bathroom, tried to explain function of bath isn't just cleansing, the calming relaxing feeling you get when putting shoulders under hot water..won't happen with orange paint glearing in your eyes, not even matt, let alone the silk client choose, after mucho mucho patience finally agreed to soft cream matt...

the black room was a goth ( am i allowed to say that ?)
spoke as was, it will look crap and cost you twice as much to go back to sensible colour scheme, ignored..got paid twice as much to return to normal colour scheme...

Oh I'm sick of decorating so won't be doing any except the little bit I have to do left over from last year (painting bits of skirting, one windowsill etc) besides there's only the bathroom to do now and I'll get Builder Dave to do that when I go on hols in May, then he can put up the new blind and put the new flooring down at the same time!

The paint was whisper of soft khaki but online it looks blue rather than green, same with the wallpaper that was described as 'duck egg' but is definitely green not blue. I asked anyone who visited, thinking I maybe was a bit colourblind and they all said green!

Looks slightly bluer in this pic than in real life, this was my attempt at wallpapering....

Caught up but loaded with the cold so forgot what I was going to say!

Someone mentioned phones. I used Boots and got advantage card points which I was very happy with.

Someone else mentioned the food processor. A little birdie told me that they got one form the RTC section complete with RTC SEL and it worked.

Last but not least, I mentioned a small glitch in Boots whereby the 25% off ACM vouchers were calculating the discount from the original price and not the half price some items are advertised at. I tried the Radox bath stuff and it worked out at 50p. Today I did some more 'investigating':

Tried the 25% off shampoo voucher on 'Half Price' Herbal Essences and the same glitch happened again. Normally £3.49, a 400ml of Herbal Essences cost me 86p. Tried the 25% off deodorant coupon but it wouldn't work against a Nivea 24hr spray so the discount was done manually.

You win some you lose some.

Seems if you look for the products that are half price, the Boots computers are set-up to calculate the MOC discount first then apply the 'half price discount'. Result :D

Well done:T Was the remote control car scanning at £70

Sorry no ... I'm slightly vertically challenged and so would have need help getting one down.

The whole toy section looked as though a twister had been through it and there were quite a few empty shelves ... and the cars I saw were on the top shelf of the homeware section. HTH
