Looby, my petrol voucher explicitly said one coupon per transaction. I checked with CS anyway and they said no, only one 10p coupon.

    Hi 3Dogs,

It says I'm the Quiz Machine Addict, it doesn't say I ever get any questions correct or win any money out of it. :p:p:p

That said, I am pleased with my 3rd in Snap-ant's quiz in January. :T

Nonsense! I can't see any moaning here. ;) All I see is someone who needed to get something off their chest (this is the best place to do this) and now needs a little hug or two. :grouphug:

Sorry about your Mum, 3Dogs; being a sufferer of, sometimes, pretty bad Asthma myself, and also having a mentally-disabled child in Care I can certainly understand your concerns about care levels. :(

    OB

That's cos it's rigged. Ooops, did I just say that out loud?scared0016.gif

    Morning everyone.
    Bright sunshine and freezing cold.
Am also sitting with a large SD mug of Kenco ( unleaded )
Should be at work but awaiting Mr Postie with my new phone :j

3 dogs, the way your mum is being treated is nothing short of disgraceful.:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Understand your fear of making complaint but at some point something will have to be done.

Might it be worth a chat with other visitors/relatives and making a class complaint ?

DSG reckon you got a hang over :) :rotfl:

    HC..spill ?

DS put on his new jacket and gloves this morning and tried to sneak his ipod out so he could use the built in speakers, sneaky little so and so.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hugs to all that need them.

Artha what you mentioned about retail shares, spot on, they can be among the best defensive plays along with utilities.
Am researching ARM @ the moment, smart phones and chips
    ;)
Morning Frequent. Didn't have you down as a defensive player but I guess if you are self employed? then you will be looking to investments for a pension? May have got this completely wrong and shares/funds are just an extension of gambling.:o

I'm not normally a gambling person (and wouldn't even know how to put a bet on:o) but I did take an enormous punt back in spring 2009 when I took redundancy and retired. I'd done some research and spent a lot of time on the savings and investments thread and saw the opportunity following the credit crunch crash. I ploughed most of my redundancy money into shares/funds and at the peak of the recovery found that I'd made a £50K "paper" profit in 12 months. Things have dragged that back a bit as I invested heavily in miners/emerging markets but I'm "sticking" as a long term bet. To spread the risk however I do also have a large holding (no mucky comments please:rotfl:) in defensive funds such as Invesco Perpetual High Income. Neil Woodford clearly also thinks that Tesco is a good long term "bet":)
    Awaiting a new sig

Hello all ... I've been missing 2 days now and have serious withdrawal.

One of the questions in my interview yesterday was "what excited me and what did I find challenging" ... well ... I couldn't admit to glitching and DTDing ... so had to make "work related stuff" up :rotfl:

Anyway ... back to the real business of catching up ... is there anything interesting happening today? :)
