    Peel and slice
    Boil for 5 mins
Drain and pop in an ovenproof dish
    Add thinly sliced garlic
add double cream just to cover
    sprinkle in nutmeg
Top with strong cheese mixed with breadcrumbs and herbs
    Bake for 20-30 mins :)

Evening Everyone, hope you are all ok. Just come on so not caught up yet. Just before I plough through the pages can I say a huge THANK YOU to Miss Laid. I tried the dish you suggested above for the whoopsied Fennel it was delicious, I didnt have nutmeg so substituted a little 5 spice. Had this with some whoopsied fillet steak. = Lovely:D

Had a fairly big list to take to T's today thanks to posts on here but everything I scanned came up at SEL price. Also tried scanning some * items but no luck there. Did find a shelf full of Cadburys freaky fingers scanned at 1p:j. Took 14 pks but left at least 30 more on shelf & a whole box full on top shelf unopened if anyone wants them (Y**K) couldn't believe these had SEL £1.89. Told a woman in there who had a little boy with her. She looked at the packet then put it back & walked off. You can't help some people!

These two above were in a green box in a cage, marked Discontinued Stock, I had a snoop inside, looked potentially good, loads of kids/party stationery, then got trouted and told not to touch, she was removing stuff for "Waste". Waited til she went off up an aisle and got the Cars stuff. Came back a bit later, did the same but she caught me just after I'd got the Toy Story pens and said "I've told you already, you can't have any of these".

Anyway, welcome to my party, enjoy :D

Thank you, thank you, thank you. The pictures are brill.

No wonder Ts are down on their takings, the more they bin the more they will loose. Surely it has got to make more sense to put things like this on clearance shelves. OK so they may not want to sell them for 1p but a few pence more and I would still buy. I have recently bought loadsa Littlest Pet Shop toys from my local small Sainsbobs for 20(ish)p and been happy to pay the price. Why on earth don't Ts do the same with their non perishables????? Maybe the company is just like Microsoft and is run by people with no experience outside the company, brainwashed into thinking the way the company wants, just to be able to spout a load of standard garb. to the sharholders. Top management get your buts onto the shop floor, you have lost touch with your customers and have really lost the plot.

Sorry to rant, but I studied business and finance, worked in marketing for 14 years, 9 of which was in senior level and I fail to understand the logic in the decisions being made by Ts at the moment. OK rant over.

I read some of the comments and noted that in Australia, if you are overcharged, you get the item for free. Are there any Tescos down under? Perhaps that's just a bit too far for some of our dedicated bargain hunters on here to go?:rotfl::rotfl:

Just seen this and im an aussie and this use to be the case years back but really its not practised. The supermarkets rip people off there, there are no whoopsies there. No dtd, nadda!!!
  • So, where's HC tonight? I was gonna get an early night but was told, by a reliable source, the night crew were back on form...

I feel for you with the poorly kid issue. The boys had me up just about every hour last night so for the first time in months, I had to resort to taking them both up for a nap so I could get a couple of hours.

As for the sites being blocked, is it only with one browser e.g. Internet Exlporer? Have you tried Firefox or Chrome? Also, do you have anti-virus installed? I used to have problems with Norton doing that years ago. Might be worthwhile stopping your firewall temporarily to see if that makes a difference.

    hi caz
yay:T:T:T can get onto the tesco site using firefox!
yes i have got antivirus but no idea which
oh well that's a start a big thanks!
