    Hi All
Artha when i phoned for travel insurance for Europe for a month last year my cost went from £30 to £200 when I declared illnesses. Ithen asked them to not cover pre existing conditions, due to knowing I wouldn't need hospitalisation for cfs or depression over there. The cost went back to £30 for 3 of us for a month. That was A$da insurance. I was covered for anything else though.

:TThanks. That's very useful to note. I'm no longer on medication and my elbow problem now only really affects me if I continually play music or lots of DIY/ gardening. On the basis of your experience then perhaps I can declare them, ask for them not to be covered, and keep my premium at the basic price (Virgin Silver cover £37.16 for me and OH, two weeks). :)

    Tenth Anniversary
As regards the DTD, with telling people to get them, Does anybody just love the faces on people when you tell them something is 1P or there abouts? The looks I get when telling them are priceless.:T
I may get shot down for telling 'strangers' about the 'deals' but I think that everyone should enjoy them.:D

Yay! My astronomy laser pen has arrived :T
It's fantastic!! A clear sky too for tonight. Typical. Why couldn't it have been clear last night!!

Incase you don't know checkout the free sky map download at http://stellarium.org/ its like Google earth but for the night sky and can be customised to show planets, constellations etc. you can also go to Mars for example and look back at earth in real time...all you need to do to set it up is enter you coordinates as your location but you can find that out via Google...

Another good one which I use everyday is http://www.spaceweather.com/
does what it says on the tin but also tells ya stuff like Asteroids near misses and some amazing photos. The bit I use most is the 'Flybys' (link along the top left) that will show you when the Space Station (ISS) will fly over your house.. ive been lucky a few times now and have seen it fly over twice in one night, still get a buzz from seeing six blokes in a tin can flying over at 15,000 mph...:rotfl:Don't think its due for a few weeks now but always worth checking...

Hi All I have just found the denby dinner sets with the half price offer on in T*w*r P*rk, they had changed the price on the ones in the aisle where they normally keep the home stuff but forgot the ones on the seasonal aisle.

Couldn't resist the urge to get one sa on till says that's expensive as it scanned through at £85 pretended to ignore her, made my way to customer services and couldnt believe it as the old trout that i have been having a running battle with last 2 weeks on some small dtd's was on, she wasnt too happy but got my dtd anyway so 1 free dinner set, she couldnt resist having one little attempt to come out on top by saying i cant return them for a refund only a exchange if theres a problem, just smiled sweetly and said ok.

they have removed the sel though but havent been in fl**tsbr**ge or Cas**e l**e so they may have this.

    Hiya fellow poolian:)

I know exactly who you mean. She is a comlete sourface! Had a few run ins with her. she ignores me and gets someone else to serve me as i put a written complaint in about her, nothing to do with dtd! She is just ruuudddee. All other cs staff there are fab.
Please don't judge me. you couldn't handle half of what I've been through.

Pepsi 500/600ml bottles are ALWAYS on offer, whether it's displayed or not, I love Pepsi Max and always buy in multiples of 2, it's usually 2 for £1.70 but sometimes BOGOF like now - I don't understand why people don't look!

People go shopping on auto pilot, buying the same stuff week in week out without looking at the prices.

Last Easter we had coke on offer at work.
    10pk - £4.05ish
    15pk - £4 (limited edition pack size)
    24pk - £8.85 (just looked online and it's £9.75 now:eek:)

I was filling up the 15pk as it was the best offer available at the time, I stopped countless people buying the 10pk and 24pk.

Sorry if this has already been posted (still catching up and need to rush to the hospital now) but thought this might be of some interest to you all

    http://uk.finance.yahoo.com/news/your-rights-when-stores-mis-price-items.html

I read some of the comments and noted that in Australia, if you are overcharged, you get the item for free. Are there any Tescos down under? Perhaps that's just a bit too far for some of our dedicated bargain hunters on here to go?:rotfl::rotfl:

Really interesting, thanks. Wish I'd seen the M&S TV!
A bargain is something you don't need at a price you can't resist

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker

You probably have all had lots of giggles over this previously - but just wanted to know where the store QPR was having the trouble in & this is the addie

    Yiewsley Superstore

TROUT ROAD OFF YIEWSLEY HIGH STREET,
    WEST DRAYTON,
    MIDDLESEX,
    UB7 7SX.Telephone: 0845 0269677
Desk opening hours may not follow store opening hours

That wasn't the store I had the problem in & as they have my name, address & phone number regarding my complaint I won't be putting the name of the store on here
