Pop Up Beach Shelter
I've just returned from Tesco singing all the way (before anyone asks it was "I Do Like to be Beside the Seaside"). I've done a quick search on here but couldn't find any mention, so apologies if I'm repeating old news. I saw mentioned on the Tesco misprices and discussion thread 12 yesterday the following:

I didn't even have them on my shopping list, but was browsing the clearance section and there they were with a SEL of £7. I'm so pleased that I bought 2 of them and received a DTD refund of £84.00 by a very nice CSA. Apparently, someone had been in the store earlier today and got DTD on them but they had forgot to remove the SEL. I got lots of shopping tonight and it only cost me 3p plus I should get a few pounds back via JTD. I also picked up a receipt that had been left at the checkout that has got 82 points to be claimed plus I'll put it through the price check.0 -

Glad I don't work there, had a sneek at one of the bays plans and seems to be little bits everywhere on each shelf  I can only think they're condensing and getting ready for when summer stock comes in or that was the plan for summer stock.
It was like that in n'@rd$ yesterday. Lots of big gaps, lots of A4 plans sitting around (didn't have time to check), some new Cars 2 toys and Lego Dino.
Purdita - thanks for the tips. Cottage pie could be a good one. Never tried to make it but I'm sure I could start off with sachets for the herbs then work my way up to fully from scratch. It's been a whlie but I can boil potatoes. Just need a piping bag to put the mash in to make it look nicer!
Heatherlea - wow  I think the only way I'd get away with this after my DTD weekend is to move across the pond!0 -

You asked about deterring cats from doing their business on raised beds. I am no expert but my father puts dried out old teabags with a few drops of olbas oil on each bag on his raised beds and it seems to work. The cats don't seem to like the smell.HTH
I'm only just catching up and yet again miles behind so it's probably been mentioned somewhere down the line..... but, I have, over many years, found that there are few things that deter cats from fouling better than a physical barrier. IMHO forget the repellents apart from orange peel which is really only supplemental.
I've never seen cats foul on a lawn unless it's very fine and the earth is loose. Any open, fine tilth earth, is just like cat litter to a cat and they will use it. It's natural for them. They will also prefer to soil next doors garden rather than their own....territorial thing I think?
An open bed used for growing veg is best protected physically with nets or network of loose prickly twigs that will discourage cats from being able to squat in their favoured position and persuade them to move elsewhere.
However much we don't like it, this is natural for a cat to do this. They are independant animals and really don't do this just to annoy anyone:rotfl: As someone who has kept cats for practical purpose (rats & mice:() you just have to live with itAwaiting a new sig0
