Im very similar, a list helps massively because it there in black & white then. I still tend to leave things as long as possible tho, today I had an important phone call to make & I did it fine but it was the last day of the month that I had to do it in! Once Ive done it I feel a whole load better. I wish I had the capability not to think about things I'd get a whole lots more done I'm sure!
Hope you've got your tax return done:)
The worst thing I've done lately is forget to send in my appeal form for ESA and have put off putting in for job seakers all because I've still to pay last years National Insurance so don't see the point putting in for it until I've done that.
I also think that maybe I'll hit lucky and get a job before it comes to it. Just waiting on a small company getting back to me, hoping to get it because there was only 2 people applied  They didn't advertise well because the boss was ill or something like that, I only heard about it through a friend of a friend who works there and thinks I'll be up to the job.SPC #329 £471/£500 banked
SPC 2014 £1100:D

think it was Nikkilala that posted about the duvets!
And didnt know there was an incubation period for colds? Am I missing something here? If my two girls have a cold, fresh air normally works wonders...especially at this time of year when its cold and inside is warm and stuffy with the central heating on!
Thanks Looby - all I remember is seeing the pic and ordering it then forgetting my manners and thanking the OP. So, thank you Nikki :T
As for incubation periods & colds, as far as I know you don't get the cold the second you come into contact with someone else who has it. The kids as a rule of thumb, fall ill on a Monday night/Tuesday morning. That's just a couple of days after being with him. His ex was constantly sending their kid round when they weren't well so glad to see that tradition hasn't changed.
Don't get me wrong, I know you can pick up bugs from anywhere but his other kid was even sent round once with chickenpox and no mention of it beforehand to see if I'd had it before. I know it's a rant but I'm the one who has sleepless nights and long days looking after poorly babies while he (and his ex) lets his other kid infect mine and he just waltzes back in the next weekend when the kids are better.0 -

I can't wait see how this turns out. I've only ever used pudding rice before. I have NEVER used leftover basmati before. Should be interesting. I have got some dried apricots so will use those instead of raisins. Got no vanilla extract in at the mo so am just using a whole fresh nutmeg ground!!
Will be interesting...,:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A

i can see where you're coming from in terms of it being hard work looking after little ones, even more so when they're poorlyDoes your eldest attend any playgroups/mother and toddler etc? The only reason I ask is that most common colds and viruses are airborn and passed quite commonly in all walks of life...ie they'd pick them up whilst shopping in Ts, on the bus, in the park etc.....while it seems might seem to you that they pick it up solely from being with your ex and his other child, maybe this isnt always the case?
Also...when we were kids we were out and about all day....we always mixed with the other kids (even more so when they had things like chicken pox etc, to ensure we caught them when we were young!)...where I grew up was a big lake which we used to go swimming in....we used to sit and play in the garden pond  and make (and sometimes eat!) mudpies etc....my point being, we werent 'polished' kids, we played, and caught germs, and built our immune system, which in turn helped us fight off any nasty bugs a lot better than those kids who werent allowed to get dirty!!
My own kids (nearly 2 and 4) have grown up with our dog in the house...they play outside most days, roll around in the mud and sand etc with the dog, play with other kids (even when the other kids are poorly)...and in nearly 4 years my kids have never been physically sick (ie vomiting) and have only had a handful of colds each. They've been caught eating chalk, sucking ink out of felt tip pens, eatiing dog food  and soil and sand....they dont have a bath every day (unless necessary), they're not constantly baby-wiped clean...yet they're happy, healthy kids...with what seems like healthy immune systems!
I'm a bit old-school about stuff like this so apologies if this offends and its not aimed at you, just my opinion on society as a whole nowadays....;)hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!0 -
