Where are my manners :o, good afternoon everyone :hello:

Fudge_cake - I hope your migraine is a bit better now. Re the pill containing oestrogen. I also can't have this as it inteferes with my meds, so I am on a progestogen only pill called Cerazette, perhaps this might be suitable for you? although I don't know whether it will help with your time of the month, but for me it means that Idon't have one at all, IYSWIM.
I'm sorry too to hear about yours and your grandfathers treatment in hospital. Definatley worthy of a strong complaint. Unfortunately this kind of thing is happening more and more in hospitals nowadays :( Most of the nursing staff are brilliant and work really hard for very little money, but hospital politics and targets get in the way of them being allowed to do their job how they would like.
Although with some of the staff, I just have no idea why they are doing the job at all :undecided, nursing is a calling and some don't seem to have this, so I don't understand why they they stay, it's not exactly the wages that keep them there

Thank you for the lovely message fellow Fudge :D

How are you doing? How's your Dad? :Axxxx

Unfortunately the hormone in the depo-provera is progesterone in a much greater dose to last 3 months, and it didn't help with my migraines :( There is one significant benefit though of oral progesterone, that isn't linked with Osteoporosis so definitely would be a better option for me if it had worked! :) I tried the injection first because I felt it would give me a much quicker judgment as to whether it would help. With regards to my time the month, the injection stopped it all together and it's only just come back after 18 months :eek:Which is of great concern, primarily regarding the Osteoporosis. A few months ago I was faced with the decision to either not take anything and while my periods were absent to know that my bones are effectively dissolving, or start taking Oestrogen to restart them and know that I'm walking a very fine line risking a life threatening blood clot at anytime :mad::(And I was just left with the decision. I was told this situation had never occured before so they couldn't give me any guidance! Luckily my GP was more supportive and we agreed to give it another 6 months and thankfully, by some minor miracle they came back.

I am happy to delete if the above is TMI! :o

With regards to hospitals I absolutely 100% agree. I have the upmost respect for the majority of the medical profession and always treat them as such until I'm proved otherwise (much the same obviously as any other person I cross paths with)

As you all have probably seen, I've spent a great deal of time in and around hospitals for much of my life. When I was in hospital at St Michaels in Bristol in December, I literally cannot express just how amazing the staff were and on the whole this has always been my opinion. I hear people moaning about the NHS on a daily basis but I think it's a blooming fantastic service and I wouldn't be alive without it. The shame now of course is that deadlines, targets and paperwork have come to the forefront of the job leaving much less emphasis and time for caring for patients. Nurses do an absolutely fabulous, extremely difficult job for minimal credit and shockingly low wages but they're only human and it's terribly unfair that they're left sweeping up while some big cheese is sat in a posh office somewhere twiddling his thumbs and being paid millions. :(:(:(

Oooh I love cable knit anything! I bet they were gorgeous, well done purdita :T I also loveeeee cushions! My bedroom is shabby chic with a cream gloss wooden panelled day bed that can be pulled out into a double bed. It's completely covered in pretty cushions, all mix and match pastels and prints :)

The 3 pink things are tinned tomoatoes!! :D:p

On a more serious note though, completely agree with your post. One person eating this would be ridiculous, it would easily feed a 4 adults.

Your bed sounds lovely Fudge......(just read that back and realised it might come across as a bit strange :rotfl::rotfl:)

I don't think we should get too het up about the breakfast.....It's just a marketing ploy.....I very much doubt they've ever had anyone actually take the challenge!.....Who's going to admit to being that greedy! It's just a bit of free advertising.....(especially with the black pudding too. Not a big seller down here I think!! Now if it was hog's pudding......;)!)
My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.
