I have never actually taken a cutting from a Fuschia, but they are meant to be incredibly easy to grow.
You will need to take the cutting before flowering starts and keep it in the warm until the last signs of frost have passed.
Then gradually harden the plant off by placing it outside in the sun starting at a few hours a day and bringing it inside at night. Slowly increase this time over a few wks and then probably plant out, about May or June.
I also found this link, that might help you

I would take it back for a refund, was looking forward to getting it myself but after reading the amazon reveiws I'm not going anywhere near it as I have highlighted hair and loads of people saying it turns it orange:eek: might be ok if your hairs not got any bleach/colour in but I wouldn't take the risk
That'll make Nikkilala easy to spot Orange Hair :rotfl: Don't risk it Nikki take it back, your hair is such a nice colour, you have a good hairdresser[/QUOTE]
That's it you've made my mind up, it's going back;)CookieRaider wrote: »DD1 is going through her first proper trauma in life she is only 15 and her friend was hit by a train last night, both legs have had to be cut off aswell as an arm and is also now blind and on life support with brain damage and DD1 is still in shock as are all her friends
I don't know what to say, I had to read your post twice to take that in:(Only thing you can do is be there for her and talk if she needs to, it's so hard for everyone involved, sending you loads of hugs:(I have never actually taken a cutting from a Fuschia, but they are meant to be incredibly easy to grow.

Fuchsias, one of my favourites and so easy to take cuttings from. I've taken cuttings even when they're flowering and they're fine. Loads of ways to do it;)Wait for the warmer weather then snip a little cutting off and you can either:
1/ put it in a glass of water on the windowsill and watch it's little roots start to grow then plant it
2/ dib it in some rooting powder and stick it straight in a pot
3/ or if it's really the summer just take a cutting and stick it outside in a pot, hanging basket, where ever to be honest and it should take.
Probably loads more ways of doing it but that's what I do. I took loads last year,I'm terrible for pinching them out and just sticking them in another pot;)I took some cuttings last year in the spring and by the end of the summer they where huge and I've overwintered them in the garden in a protected spot;)But I've kept one in the garage just in case;)
Morning everyone, just off to T's but it's a bit chilly here this morning. Whoopsied beef for dinner today mmmmmmmmBeware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0
