Good tip, and well done getting your star:T
When I do toms like that I score a cross on the bottom too, then the skin does not split randomly. when I take the toms out of the water they peel easier than a banana by just lifting four pieces of skin off.0 -
Oh, is it choco waffles as well as Honey waffles? Didnt know that! I will have to widen my search!!:money:
I just got 4 more packs of choco waffles still 25p. I did not know:ju

They were on a clearance end but with no sel so I scanned them.
Oh. might not be lucky enough to find them then, our clearance ends are very hit and miss. Did see some gold table cloths on there last week, but they wer £1.25, far to expensive for me! lol
Where would they normally be if they were not on a clearance end?0 -

Dear Mrs xxxxx
Thank you for your email addressed to our Chief Executive Philip
Clarke, to which I have been asked to respond. I apologise for the
delay in doing so.
It is concerning to learn that staff in our xxxxx xxxxx store
prevented you from purchasing Lindt Lindor Milk Chocolate Mini Eggs as
they were scanning at one penny. I appreciate that this is frustrating,
and I would like to offer my apologies for any upset that this incident
may have caused.
I discussed your concerns with the Store Manager, xxxxxxx xxxxxx She
was equally concerned to learn of your complaint and has asked that I
pass on her sincerest apologies. Items marked down to one penny are
usually intended for waste, or the product has been placed on sale to
early and not updated on the system. In this instance it seems to be
the latter.
The chocolate could have been sold to you at the Store Managers
discretion. However, after discussing this incident with xxxxx she has
advised that due to the large quantity you were buying, she would have
refused the sale also. I appreciate that this is disappointing, and it
certainly should not have taken six members of staff to resolve the
issue for you. I can only apologise that we have let you down on this
occasion.
Whilst I can not alleviate the upset that this incident has caused, I
would like to send you a £20.00 Tesco Moneycard as way of an apology.
If you wish to accept this, please let me know your home address, and I
will arrange for it to be sent immediately.
Thank you for contacting the Chief Executive's office, and I look
forward to your reply.

Lovely, lovely, lovely!!! I haven't seen either of these designs and I've been looking cos it was the Terracotta spots that was mentioned before that was going cheap but I haven't found one ... yet.
Did the spotty/dotty one that you scanned have an cream/white base and an outline around each spot? If so that sounds like the 'terracotta'.
The other spotty one (which I have my eye on) is called 'circus' and that's diff coloured pastel spots. I also have my eye on the duck egg (i.e. pale blue) and white stars cloth ... but both have been scanning at full price for me. Good to hear they're on the way down
Many thanks scarlini
BTW I'm assuming this was an Extra?
Yes this was an Extra the one with dots on looked like the circus one but I don't think it was that one maybe the older version of the circus one
and in answer to lindos they are normally down the cookware aisle so worth a look at the back:oI love to help people by sharing my bargains:o0 -

U are speaking my mind, have to agree apart from one thing. It is worth keeping an eye on main aisle special offers. Got dtd on ood sel in A MAIN AISLE on fairy platinum 44 pk, sel was 1!!week ood.redfraggle wrote: »Morning all
Had a nice week of DTDs on OOD SELs and thought it might be good to give a bit of a guide for newbies. (well, explain what I do anyway)
First of all, its about keeping an eye on things and being patient. You cant expect to watch the whole store, so pick out what you really want, and keep an eye on it. My rules are that I generally refuse to pay for things so I'm looking for half price/ BOGOF SELs or better.
Most departments have regular days where special offers change; phones, fresh meat and veg are Sundays, toiletries are Tuesday, wine is Tuesday.
However, recently, there seems to be more variability on days/ dates when offers end and these are great opportunities. Staff (like us) are creatures of habit and will know when theyre supposed to change prices on offers. An offer on an unusual day may be missed.
Other things to watch out for are where stock is piled up in other places. My store has boxes of special offer wine stocked up at the end of most aisles, especially around the fridges. Sometimes, they forget this wine is there and a SEL can be OOD. Same applies to household goods, Ive found saucepans etc with OOD SELs of a few days old in this way.
Other things are big cardboard bins that are brought in for special offers. They often have the special offer price printed on the side and so if the offer changes, staff are programmed to think about SELs only and sometimes miss these
Conversely, dont ever bother keeping an eye on aisle ends. These are designnated special offer areas and will always be changed over on time. HO sends plans for these.
Thats what comes to mind now, HTH0 -
