Thank you frequent and MMW, I do use masking tape but still get leaking onto other paintwork or it rips the other paintwork when taking it off. I will see if I can get this frog stuff any cheaper £7 is alot but not when I have my deposit money at risk.

Right I really have to start lol
use less paint on the paint brush and buy "low tack" masking tape

Far better to set yourself an outdoor regime. Do you not have a nice wood somewhere local for a walk? Much better for ones psyche too if the exercise is taken outdoors, specially when the weather gets brighter.

Just to mention it's not really a good idea for ladies to go walking through woods on their own, unless you have a dog wih you that would protect you.
I'm lucky my mum and dad walk a lot, so I usually meet up with them if I have a day off, but I wouldn't walk round the lakes we goto on my own. It's a shame to have to think that way, but that is the reality of the times.

Hi all. Thanks nikki for the new thread. I haven't posted for a while, and have turned into a lurker,:o but I found a bargain today that I want to share.

In T's I found a stack of Thorntons Premium Collection chocolate gift packs, 96g for 75p. It was on a normal white sel, on the normal chocolate shelf. The box is about 4x4x3, with a red top and a stripy bottom, and a red bow holding on the label on the top right corner of the lid. Barcode ends 5495, and the best before date is 9/9/12.
The best part is that on the shelf next to them was a 210g box, and I think the sel said £7.99 . If you buy ten of the gift boxes you get 960g of Thorntons for less than a 210g box!!!
I hope this helps someone, and yes, I know that it's chocolate again, but the boxes would make lovely little thank you presents. Needless to say I will not be tempted :p, cos I joined Slimming World two weeks ago, and have already lost 8 pounds :j:j.

Wow, 8 pounds in just 2 weeks, well done you :T

Just what I was going to ask too;)

Now decisions, decisions. I saw a walking/running machine on the grabbit board earlier from T's which is £199 from £399. I'm seriously thinking about it, I've got room for it and have wanted one for ages just don't know whether to go for it or not:cool:I've never jogged and have a dodgy knee but thinking maybe if I started with the walking I could slowly build up to a gentle jog. I'd be too embarrassed to do it on the streets so this seems like the perfect idea:)

If you walk on a hill setting, it can burn almost as many calories as jogging, and it puts less strain on your joints. I haven't looked at the treadmill, so i'm not sure it it's one which you can alter the incline on.

What about a Wii fit if not, would you use that? I find really useful for a quick 30 min workout before work. It keeps my attention more than a treadmill, and ther eis more variety of things to do.

3 Dogs- Hope the car boot goes well tomorrow, and Mr Dogs is feeling a bit better.

The impact of jogging on hard concrete on the knee is much underestimated, cars have suspension, we have cartilage,

    shocks can be replaced..

Nikkilala....Frequent is right....outside jogging has a much more detrimental effect on your joints....but have you considered a small trampoline? One of those athletic small round ones...you can get them for about £20.....apparently jogging on these for 10 minutes equates to a 30 minute job outside...the 'bounce' action prevents any hard impact on your feet/knees or any other joints, and as it helps you bounce back up, you dont actually feel as tired as if you'd been jogging! They take up minimal room and are obviously very cheap!! I used mine for shifting my baby weight while catching up on the soaps each day!! :)

That's really quick! You good swimmer you! My hubby does triathlons so he keeps telling me to do open water swims but shhh don't tell anyone but I'm scared of water. I only do breaststroke so my face is no where neat that water! Even then I nearly half drown every length!!

    Morning elite squad! :)

Triathletes cheat, they wear wetsuits :rotfl:

I'm not quick, but a week on sea swimming on Swim trek did teach me some good technique, even if it's a bit rusty now. You would be fine in the sea, all that salt makes you float anyway. :D

Knew that would happen!!! Can't get them in their still in beds but they're raised so will gamble and fleece them up. I just so knew this would happen because my red camelia is flowering and every year the flipping frost get's it:(

I brought mine in and put them in the conservatory a few weeks ago...they are still flowering in there though!
My pink camelia is in full bloom too as are my daffs and pansies in the tubs out the front and my azaleas are just beginning to flower. My neighbour has a lovely banana tree in her garden which has only just recovered from last years frosts.
I've got palm trees in mine which don't like it too cold either.
My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.

Re decorating, DO NOT waste your money on the frog tape stuff, B&Q professional masking tape is a LOT better and a lot cheaper, I did so much decorating last year I can't stand the sight of a paint can now so I know :o

    http://www.diy.com/nav/decor/decorating-sundries/painting-and-decorating-tools-accessories/tape/-specificproducttype-masking_tape/B-and-Q-Professional-Masking-Tapes-4-Pack-25m-10549000

However if you are trying to get clean lines say on a feature wall where the surface to be taped has been painted fairly recently, go to Brewers if you have one near you, they do a pink masking tape, it's a german brand and the absolute dog's doodahs of low-tack masking tape, was recommended to me by a professional hth :D
i have a bit of a problem. i hae lost my mobile phone. i replied to a text at 4.45pm last night, and havent seen it since. i have rung it, but its switch off? i need my phone as it has all my appointments in it for next week and my working hours. any ideas anyone?

I am always losing my phone. I find the best thing is to stay calm and think where I've been and I mean EVERYWHERE. I have found my phone hidden in various crevices in the car and in the airing cupboard, the fridge, in my make-up bag, even in the bath! (Had left it on the side and it slipped in, bath was dry luckily!)

If you can't find it by searching methodically DO NOT try tipping the whole house upside down, that never works! Instead stand still with your legs shoulder width apart, close your eyes and hold your hands in the prayer pose, elbows out and take a deep breath, this centres your thinking and it will suddenly come to you where your lost object is, works for me countless times!
