Yes nearly done now, but it's not great, better than what we took down though so I'm happy. What it the best way to do the corners and not leak onto other paint work?life is like a loo roll. the nearer the end you get, the faster it goes.0 -

LOL
new product called frog masking tape.
sometimes the paint leaks through standard white tape.
The frog stuff is great it absorves the excess paint
(hint to much paint on brush in 1st place )
Is price @ £7 a roll
For landlords use no tape at all
private house use shed loads of it just to look professionalBack to square one, no apg, no comment.0 -
Something the lovely CA told me might help in getting 1p items through the till.
I had loads of the coins and asked if that was OK buying that many. She said it was fine as far as she was concerned but she'd put them through in batches of 10 as that wouldn't bring an alert up on her till.
Apparently 12 x 1p items put through in one go flags up on the till and might need a supervisor to over ride it (or take them off you!) but as long as you put them through in batches of less than 12 they should scan OK.
I've never heard of this before....but she was so nice, I don't have any reason to doubt her.
When we were buying the Playboy boxers before Christmas we were stopped before we had even got 2 scanned!!0 -

You try living in my village!!!
There are a few little cliques here depending on what you do for a living, how old your kids are, whether you have a boat, whether you are on the pantomime, carnival or art group commitees....(I don't belong to any of them) ...and they are like little covens!!
If someone at the top end of the village farts in the morning, they are discussing it in the post office by lunchtime :rotfl::rotfl:
Apart from all the village politics though, it's a little piece of heaven. No street lights, friendly neighbours, practically zero crime, no gangs, no chavs (plenty of yokels!) and the whole village is in a conservation area as well as an area of outstanding natural beauty.
Imagine Midsomer without the murders and that's where I live.
Downside is the lack of amenities you get in the bigger towns and cities.....especially when you have older children, but I like rural living even if it does mean I can't just nip out to T's at the drop of a hat!My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.0 -
Thank you frequent and MMW, I do use masking tape but still get leaking onto other paintwork or it rips the other paintwork when taking it off. I will see if I can get this frog stuff any cheaper £7 is alot but not when I have my deposit money at risk.

Feel like I've been lurking here now as I haven't been to a T's in ages, have a cold for probably the 100th time this winter and OU not going as well as I had hoped!
Howver, yesterday I bought 3 Snow Bites in an Express with no SS and the SA didn't even bat an eyelid! Don't you just love those SA's!
Went to a metro today and found 1 behind the easter choc!:o
Congrats are in order for Karlie!:T:T:T:T oops sorry, Dr. Karlie!
Are we having a Friday night party?:j0 -
When we were buying the Playboy boxers before Christmas we were stopped before we had even got 2 scanned!!
I had my only one pair taken off me!!
I think this was happening when the stores had been alerted to the fact there were 4p items going through which shouldn't have been sold and it was the CA's noticing them and confiscating them.... or they were coming up as not on file (in my case) on the system.
Once they have been alerted to a glitch, they will take them off you, but I think this tends to be more when it's a current line glitch or a non food item rather than halloween or Xmas stockMy husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.0 -
