He was pretty insistent that he was right, can you point me in the direction of something that proves otherwise ? If I had some written evidence then I might have a stronger case, or something from directgov that I can print off ? I've searched but can't find anything :-(

Google 'decision makers guide' it'll be on DWP.gov then locate chapter 34 and your evidence is in paragraph 34051

Okay I've got that and you're right it supports what you have said, need to look at 26038 and 34054-34058 now, do you know which chapter they are in ?

The first twodigits of the paragraph number are the chapter - so 26 and 34

That paragraph covers the date on which a sanction should start but no sanction should applied in your case
