Well taken exam #2 today & have passed. :jIt doesn't give you the score at the centre, but it should be up on the website within 24hrs. I'm currently sitting on the website refreshing the page :pCant sit here doing this all night have to get dinner ready!
Still planning on going camping this weekend!!! Sister in laws birthday celebrations. Looks like we are going to have a wet time! There is about 40 of us going, and a lot of us taking gazeboos to put in middle of the tents. Hopefully it will be fun! My Mum found a snowsuit in M&S sale for £5, only size 6-9 months so only just fits my little girl, but will do for the weekend & will keep her warm.Mtg May 2011 - £127,500/825610% CC - £2211/2211Argos Card 0% - £253.95/208.950 -
DH has always taken the mickey out of my pre-trip stressed packing as I want to make sure we have everything. This is the first time we've taken DD on holiday & its 100 times worse!!! However, if I leave even 1 little thing down to DH it will get forgotton! So attempting to make sure all 3 of us have everything is sending me slightly mad!:p
Anyway no update on my exam results, I know I've passed but I want to know %Mtg May 2011 - £127,500/825610% CC - £2211/2211Argos Card 0% - £253.95/208.950 -

Been having another bash at reducing our outgoings/increasing incomings:
Expenditure:
1 - AA cover - we used to have joint personal cover costing £150 per year!!! As we are now only running one car I called them up to reduce the coverage, I did see an advert saying coverage from as little as £30, so mentioned that to the man & he said that was for "new customers only" however as we have been with them for 6 years he did me a "deal" and gave us the cover for £30If anyone reading this has AA cover on recurring DD RING THEM UP & ASK FOR A DEAL!!!!! :money:
2 - Cancelled magazine subscription for Homebuilding & Rennovating - I do love the magazine to read & its only £3 per month which I didnt think was a lot, but every penny is counting at the moment!
3 - managed to talk DH into cutting back on smoking. Past couple of months hes been spending £70 per month, which is a huge amount to us. I gave him an ulimatum no sky sports (£20 pm), no drinking (£24 pm) or halving smoking (£25pm/normally £50). So not only the health benefits but monetary as well. He tends to have "thinking" cigarette when working & I suggested to do what someone at work did was have a lolly pop every time he fancied a smoke (not brilliant for teeth but smoking isnt either). And he is up for this, so put lollys on shopping list!
4 - not done this yet but going to ring up Sky to cancel HD & maybe suggest we will cancel sports too to see if they will give us a deal.
5 - Back BF full time (did start giving a few formula bottles a day as was planning on working, but no need now) & full time cloth nappies (was using disposables as night time). Formula was about £15pm and nappies £7pm.
Income
1 - I'm back Dooyooing, I earned £65 on this up until Christmas, but it takes a lot of brain power to write good reviews so I have been a bit laxed recently. But back at it & hopefully should be able to pay for daughters 1st birthday presents with the money earned.
2 - on Superpoints every day. I've worked out I get about £10 per week ish on this (cash into paypal not vouchers), however, not really been making the most of it as not had time due to studying. It doesnt take any brain power though, just clicking a button! If anyone wants a referral follow this link http://superpoints.com/refer/frugalfrog
3 - Studying hard - finished Lesson 1 out of 9 on level 3. Study plan set out so I do the exam first week in June, however, I have allowed myself weekends off, so will prob be ready before hand.
4 - sent Tax Credit application off, hopefully will hear soon
5 - PLANNED - Get business cards sorted for DH & passed out amongst local garages
6 - PLANNED - EBAY!!!!! Keep putting it off, but have loads of stuff to sell, but lack the motivation! Next free weekend I going to be at it!
My SOA is looking much better, was at -£400 ish but now at -£76 so wont be eating much into savings (this is based on an approx amount for child tax credit)Mtg May 2011 - £127,500/825610% CC - £2211/2211Argos Card 0% - £253.95/208.950 -
Well done on the exams, you really are powering through them. Sounds like you are doing everything you can to increase income/reduce expenditure. I would definitely ring SKY and although they didn't offer us a deal when we cancelled movies and sports, after a couple of months we had half price offers through.
Good luck with Superpoints too, if you can get one of your existing friends to complete their profile you'll go platinum which gives you 100 spins a day.
Good luck to your DH on cutting down on the cigarettes too, hope he's successful.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Just wanted to say thanks to those who have accepted the superpoints invitation, all you need to do now is register as a member (click on the link in email) and you will get 30 superlucky clicks a day - where you can win between 1 & 50 points and will get emails daily with points. They easily stack up, nearly at redemption level again.
Free weekend on ebay, so going to dig through what I can sell. Just remembered we bought a elec shower years ago for our old house, but then decided to get one plumbed in when we had a new boiler so didnt need it. See how much I can get for that. Hmmm what else ...Mtg May 2011 - £127,500/825610% CC - £2211/2211Argos Card 0% - £253.95/208.950 -

Thank you for the invite
Hmm I definitely haven't got 30spins from it, 10 on the first 5 yesterday & every survey I've tried to get through so far I've not been accepted for after half a dozen questions
& what is the redemption/conversion level as they don't appear very forthcoming with info on the site- Mortgage: 1st one down, 2nd also busted
- Student Loan gone
Swagbucks, Mingle, GiffGaff, Prolific, Qmee & Quidco; thank you MSE every little bit helps0 -
Hi if you click on your home page at the bottom right it says your member staus, if it says "none" the registation is not complete. If you click on the "upgrade your status" it should say what need to do, to get basic level you need to verify email & complete a couple of q's ie name, address & DOB - then you should get 30 clicks and redemption level is 2,500 points ($25 cash).
If you can get two friends to sign up too you get 50 clicks and redemption drops to 1,000 points ($10 cash).
With 5 friends 100 clicks & 500 redemption ($5).
If your not having luck with surveys I like the "tasks" under Get Points ->Complete Offers -> Matomy -> tasks
A lot of these tasks are search in Google for a particular phrase and tell them what comes up. Pretty simple & some are worth around 80-100 points.
I dont tend to do the surveys from the offers page, but just the ones that email you as I have had difficulty with them.
And look for the videos, they are only worth 1 point each but dont require anything from you. There doesnt seem to have been many recently though, just look under the "watch videos" and "matomy's" video tab.
Hope that helped a bitMtg May 2011 - £127,500/825610% CC - £2211/2211Argos Card 0% - £253.95/208.950
