Thanks BB: I don't do FB so wouldn't have known.
Nits are HELL to get rid of, good luck but I bet at every school there is always someone somewhere who has the little blighters and is only too anxious to share them.

Lou: Phew! and thanks for checking in. Sorry if we've been too intrusive and bossy. I don't do FB or blogs so had no clue if you were OK or not. I'll leave you in peace.

    Hi everyone
Hope everyone is feeling OK, but if not ((((((Hugs)))))

Not been doing much today, as I went through the house like a mad woman yesterday:)

Went to SW this morning and walked to Mr Ts to pick up some salad stuff and fruit and then had to walk back with heavy bags and its all up hill, I didnt think about that when I started off but at least it will aid the weight loss:rotfl:

Back at work tomorrow boo hoo but not long until I have a week off - Im really looking forwards to being able to get loads of crafty stuff done

  • Mrsd yes that's what I do, along with first aid & lunch duties.
We have our new Line Manager, cue much wailing from Doris, who has decided she doesn't like her!
The kids were full of joy today, they managed to break a window whilst fighting, we radioed for assistance, the deputy head wears stilletoes so arrives at a snails pace, the behaviour reps were all at lunch at the same time (who's bright idea was that). Then another pupil came over to tell me has had betty swallocks, I really didn't need to know that!
    Have a good evening everyone.
    Hugs Hester

Ooh Hester, your job sounds like so much fun! I can barely manage at primary school, would be totally at sea in a secondary. I always have to laugh at what the children tell you though, one wee chap (5) told me that his dad was in jail as he hurt mummy, this was at counting time in front of all the other children!

Not much os here today, work and then met up with the girls for a coffee, home to haggis and neeps and am sitting here quite stuffed.

Got home to a big package in the hall - DD has decided that she would like to rear a couple of pigs and has bought the electric fencing ready!

Hope everyone is feeling good today. Take care. XX

Anyone who works in school learns to expect the unexpected. I think the low point of my career was taking a child to A&E with Spiderman's foot stuck up his nose. Or it may have been when two little girls asked me, "Who's our headmistress?" Actually they said 'hedgemistress'. I thought for a while and said that I supposed that would be me. They departed, rolling from side to side of the corridor with laughter.
I take it that I was not a frightening figure of authority.

Evening all, some good posts on here today , made me laugh. Went to school today, felt fine as too busy to think. The head is giving everyone lesson observations without warning in preparation for Ofsted when they decide to come, that is everyone except me as she feels I'm a bit fragile at the moment, I'm not complaining. Funeral is next Thursday and my brothers want us to all say something or read a poem. Mum was not religious so if anyone knows any good poems or readings I'd be very grateful. Thanks for everyone's support on here.
Hugs to all who need them esp MrsMix,Molly, Bramble and LW
Glad to hear from you Lou hope things get better soon.
    Have a good evening all.

Miffy, we read this at my darling dad's funeral service, he had chosen it.
    The Final Flight

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free, I'm following the path God laid for me.
I took his hand when I heard his call, I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day, To laugh, to love, to work, to play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way, I've found that peace at the end of the day.
If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Ah, yes, these things too I will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My Life's been full, I savoured much, Good friends, good times, a loved one' touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me, God wanted me now, He set me free.
