wet here and am having a lazy day today - lots to watch on sky+ including superscrimpers.

WM is on, house clean and tidy - had to mop floor as one of the dogs was sick all over it and over their bedding so that's going in the wash later too.

Tea is leftover stew and mash that I had frozen for me(veg) not sure about the others yet.

((hugs))) to Bramble and Miffy x x x

Miffy -good luck to your DH for his interview x

JackieO - hope the dentist isn't painful to your mouth or wallet! x

JC - well done on your weight loss:T hope your DS doesn't get the sack x

DH is still off work with his vertigo although he is on the end luckily.

Thats about it for now, have a great day all

    Morning :hello:

miffy, I'm so sorry about your mum

I'm sooooooooo tired, just having a strong coffee to try and wake up.

Cleo has a prolasped vent. It's the first time I've had to deal with that, it's not exactly my favourite job..............:D

My to-do list is reducing, most things have been done. There's only three things left. I'll have to find things to add to it otherwise I'll end up being one of those people who finds daytime telly interesting :rotfl:

  • Morning all,

JackieO - have you any clove oil? If not, some bonjela or Calgel may help a little?
Miffy, So sorry for your loss.

It's a grotty grey day here but to be honest I'm still suffering so could do with another lazy day. My SIL is coming later with the new baby to bring over some paperwork on crafting a house for 7YO nephews school 'thing' on Wednesday night. We have to build a London townhouse at the time of the plague / Great fire of London so I need to do a little research today on what it would be like and consider his capabilities at creating something similar. I love things like this but I have to remember that it's HIS projct and not mine! I'll try and gather up as much relevant craft material as possible for him - when I were a gal, mum would have armed me with a Pritt stick, two pieces of paper and some pencil crayons and exected me to create something. My projects were always rubbish!!!

Washing is all done, house is tidy and all animals are fed and watered. If I feel up to it I shall hoover and possibly mop, and if it gets colder I need to light the fires, but other than that today shouldn't be too stressful.

Breakfast - Poached eggs on HM cheese and onion bread
Lunch - Leftover salad and potato / spinach curry
Dinner - Lentil and chickpea burgers with salad and rice

I want to find out about any groups local to me that I could attend: craft, reading, any old thing really - just to make sure I don't lose touch with all human beings - any ideas? Our library is about 20 years out of date!

    Morning all!

Grey and wet here today, which is a shame as I was hoping to do some stuff in the garden, but being a fair weather gardener...

Small pink is amusing herself with her new clicking noise and blowing raspberries, and rolling around, big girls all at school and ds will be off to college this aft. I shall be sorting clothes mostly, send ds into the attic to get something down and he noticed a whole load of baby clothes that I'd bagged up years ago! Today dd4 is wearing a jumper that was first worn by her big bro 18 years ago lol! Sometimes being a hoarder can work well ;)

OS stuff will be limited to housework and cooking, dw, wm, bm and yoghurt already on, no idea what is for dinner as not looked at the menu plan yet, but will def be doing some baking before there is a mutiny here, tins are all empty, we are bereft of cake and treats! Assorted boring stuff needs to be done on the computer and phone, but they can wait till tiny pink is asleep, loving how much can be done during nap time :) Also need to whizz out to the doc's and drop some shopping off to my friend who's just had an op.

Right, best get going with those bags of clothes, bit like a trip down memory lane seeing some of the things again! Have a good day all xxx

    Morning ,

Hope you get your tooth sorted JackieO.
Esmf- poor you, panic attacks are horrible-hugs to you.
Get better quick vibes to poorly people.

The beef stew is in the slow cooker.I'm doing the same as you Redruby, there is all sorts in there, lentils, pearl barley, veg, spuds you name it,to s t r e t ch it out.:rotfl:I made a carrot cake yesterday, plenty of that left yet.

DH and DS still have no work so Dh has gone off to the car auctions to see whats around,we need something cheaper when ours has gone.Glad he's gone out actually-it does my head in when they're all in all day :p-never get any peace.Might shut myself in my sewing room later :D I could make a top to cheer myself up,I have plenty of material stashed away.

We had a lovely few hours with DGD last night,DS2s ex dropped her off as she was going s'where with her Mum,who often just stays with her here to avoid to -ing & fro- ing,so we had her to ourselves :jShe had a play, then we bathed her,put pjs on and DS gave her her bottle, she had a little sleep and woke up with a big smile on her face ready to play again.

Going to make some bread rolls to have with our stew, better get on,
hugs to anyone who wants one xx
