Soup made, freezer defrosted, Dogs cleaned up after, shopping done and DD's chain untangled. Chicken, bacon and mince from freezer all cooked up for meals during this week so ready for monthly Mr T's order to arrive Monday eve! Can't wait to be stocked up again.

Does anyone want a 5 year old boy ??????????

Been there, done that! :rotfl:And LW, I thought you were veggie? :D

JoJo - it's good to see you and DD1 are getting on well :) I know you were having a bit of a rough time of it before Christmas.

OK. Yesterday I didn't get much done :( I had the Art group AGM in the morning - there were no volunteers for treasurer, so it looks like its me again for another year! The chairman said it was a good job I am young (compared with some members!), as I could be there for a looong time  I walked the dog in the woods when I got back, and waited for DH to get home. I suggested we go out for dinner, and he agreed :j No cooking, and no washing up! :T

Today I did the food shop first thing, then took the dog out. DS emptied the DW. DD2 has spent the weekend cleaning her room! She has even hoovered :D
I need to do lots of studying :( I can feel myself getting behind, and I can't afford to do that. I need to prepare a 600 word discussion post, and a 500 word piece for my portfolio, by Friday/Sunday  On top of that, I need to clean out my fridge & freezer, and deep clean the kitchen (in case I get a visit from environmental health - I need to call them tomorrow )

Hugs, sticks and spoons to those that need them. And thinking of L-L & Ian today.

Anyone know a good way of unblocking a toilet? DS, bless his cotton socks, blocked the toilet with loads of loo roll this morning but didn't tell me. I took him up to bed tonight, he spent a penny and I pulled the flush and the water went up right to the top. It drained away. He told me and I'm afraid I was cross as this isn't the first time he's blocked it but it is the first time DH hasn't been here to sort it.

I've tried pouring down a kettle of water - no. Putting a bucket of water in - no. Plunging it with the toilet brush - no. Got some water on the hands and now, being OCD, am convinced I've got all sorts of lurgy :(. Now the water won't go down at all and I've really bu**ered it up.

If you haven't got a plunger, try using the mop to plunge it as it is bigger than the loo brush which might be compacting it...

As for your hands, try to ignore the OCD and be rational. Wash them with hot water and soap and out hand cream on, and next time, put gloves on first :D

Panic over thanks - I called my friend and he came straight over and fixed it thanks to the trusty old Marigolds. I'll take your advice Greenbee and slap some hand cream on; I've already washed my hands (3 times :o!)
