Me & DD1 stayed a little while in London. She took loads of photos as source materials for her art studies, but the management of the crowds was pretty rubbish, so we got caught in a crush for about 15 minutes. Was not a happy bunny, but my elbows are sharp and my body weight solid when there is a chance someone might shove my kid over because they don't want to wait to move like everyone else. The official who tried to tell me as we escaped out of the crush up the stairs that they had that second decided to stop people using those stairs to leave, but were going to filter another few hundred people down into the crush got the sharp end of it. Once asked if he would like to be the person dealing with an asthma attack in the middle of the crush, he let us get out.
So we didn't see the dragon dancers, but I'm not faffing around and getting hurt for anyone, so we came home. DDs are both snuggled up in the futon watching TV in the warm, I've heard a few stories about DD1's boyfriend that suggest she is not too impressed with him right now 'I don't have the energy to sort stuff out for him, so I've told him it's not my problem and he's just going to have to do it all himself instead' bodes well for her becoming more independent of him.
She has said that she is doing well in Fine Art - and that the expeditions to the Tate Modern and whatnots that I took her on when she was younger and got her to interact with the works, asking her questions that made her look at stuff in a different way, etc, has helped her a lot - her tutor has described her work as political, provoking and cohesive. All of which are good for admission onto a BA in Fine Arts
I'm going to put some mince on for cottage pie, I think.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Haven't seen next weeks -I started at the beginning of the month - then work got in the way! But back with a vengeance this week! Really miss how lovely and clean the house was. I am trying to catch up by doing last weeks level 1s today.

I've had a lovely afternoon with the children - out for a bike ride (they rode, I walked until I found out DS had a puncture and then I had to push his teeny tiny little bike and he had to walk too). Oooh, my back! Had to buy myself a Wispa to fix my poorly back
! Then back to the garden, fed the birds and started lopping off the big branches of magnolia DH trimed before he went away; during the week will store it for firewood for next year.
Done everything on my list apart from cleaning out the chooks but I will do that tomorrow - promise. The little girls have been laying 2-3 eggs a day so got to look after them. Just about to go and do some cooking with DD.
For the newer ladies, please note the list for next week won't be up until later this evening.Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -

Inspired by what some of you fly ladies have been up to today, I have vacuumed/swept and washed the floors downstairs, cleaned and vacuumed DDs bedroom, bathed the dogs and tidied the cupboard under the sink. That's it now, have promised DD I'll dye her hair tonight so the rest of the time is mine.Spend less now, work less later.0
