I've done the bathroom and toilet this morning (still working to my old flylady routine). We had fish for dinner yesterday and I've been trying to get rid of the smell ever since. Weirdly, although the dish I microwaved it in doesn't smell at all I finally narrowed it down to the microwave being smelly. I've tried lots of different things and I think I've finally eradicated the honk. It was really getting to me!

Washing draped round but not hung outside because we've got sunshine interspersed with heavy showers/hail.

I will also book the spare room floor this week, so I know when it is.

I have been in the utility room today... DW filters done, WM, TD, DW and Freezer wiped down. Units wiped down. Half of worksurface scrubbed (will do the other half when it is dry). Main bit of floor scrubbed (yuk). Need to try to get the less grubby bit done before my 2pm meeting, and then I can do my handwashing.

I plan do do the bathroom during a meeting this afternoon, and hopefully get ahead enough with both the house and work that for once I manage to either have a pedicure and an early night or a bath and an early night!

Dragon take it easy please. It sounds very painful

Pollybear - I have a Jamie Oliver kitchen smell dispersing candle. It works very well once everything is washed up and disposed in the outside rubbish.

Mudbath - things all come at once - so true. I hope you soon get the money together to clear all the bills.

In my HHC I liberated 18 cups/glasses from the house and garage. I have thoroughly cleaned out my glasswear cupboard ready for the liberated glasses to replenish the empty space when they have finished in the DW.

I've put together a to do list. I'm a bit worried as most of it involves spending money. The list is by no means finished but it's what DD1 and I came up with.

Dismantle wardrobes in little ones room
Purchase new wardrobe and chest of drawers
    get jewelery valued
    get pearls re-threaded
    Get clasp on pearls replaced
get diamond replaced in engagement ring
    replace oilcloth for DR table
    Hem LR curtains x 2
    oil internal door hinges
    get left garage door fixed
    repair garage light
replace blinds in top floor bedrooms
    use carpet cleaning voucher
    weedkiller on patio
get hawthorn hedge trimmed and cut
get front hedge trimmed and cut
tighten curtain poles onto wall in LR
tighten curtain ples onto wall in DR
get new light dimmer switch for DR
cost new garden table and chairs
    clean windows in shed
get a quote for new fence for front garden
    repaint bannisters
get roller blind trimmed to fit kitchen window
    replace lights in extractor hood
    get quote for digital aerial
    check bulbs in outside lights
    clean outside lights
    get quote for water softener
get new light fitting for downstairs loo

I cook my fish in the bags from lakeland, you can probably get them cheaper else where, it really helps to contain the smell

Updated my list and realised today say's change bedding twice so you can either do 2 beds or wipe some door handles instead! Don't think because nobody told me I would not notice, :pI am doing these lists as well as writing them you know :rotfl:

    Ladies!

I normally use a dishwasher cleaner to clean the DW obviously but I forgot to pick one up so what can I use instead? I have soda crystals, would that work??

Soda crystals (not too many!) or a splash of vinegar wendywitch. Just make sure you clean the filters thoroughly first. Soda crystals degrease, vinegar descales.

Utility room is now clean, although floorcloths are so filthy I want to go over it again with a mop... Better get a move on as I have to get back to my desk soon!

    Hello Everyone

Just popping in to say hello and welcome to all newbies/returners. I have not been on posting for a while but still flying and still doing my HHI with Hollyoaks so ironing basket is empty most of the time.:D:D

However, that last few weeks I have fallen away and only been doing the bare minimum, I have had a few health issues but, ho hum…. brush down and get on with it eh?, there are people way worse off than me in the world!
I will try to work my way through the list over the next few nights and over the course of the weekend. The kids have been really good keeping there rooms tidy since Christmas, it helped that I totally gutted them beforehand so there is no excuse now for untidiness!!
I have taken off what doesn't need done or doesn't apply.

Hope you are all well, love and hugs to all and special love and hugs to LL, Toots & LW:A
