Yes. If I see a photo of you standing in the aforementioned snow, holding the aforementioned fruit. :p
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

Nope, they are summer fruiting and will fruit on the canes next year. Unless of course it's a slow to start producing autumn one, which I've never had happen even if it's a small crop, but with the way this year's been anything could happen!

I'd better tie them up to something then! :)

Trust me, you won't. At the first frost your pepper will be dead, assuming it is outside and not in a greenhouse. Even 4C is bad news for a pepper. They are tropical plants and originate in South and Central America.

I've bought 4 in, in total. 1 that will be 4 years old if it makes it through winter and 3 new ones.

Cleared the runner beans yesterday and picked a few for seeds but may not bother with them next year. I prefer French beans so may do a lot more of those, and John you were right I can indeed fit 4 to a flower bucket, got a good crop when I got them passed the S&S eventually.

Thinned out the raspberries and tied up, and will have to relocate the thornless ones that have migrated from my neighbours as they are where my Q's/toms/squash may go next year. Raspberries are not getting a prime sunny spot as I only have a little garden, but will wait till next month to do that and move the redcurrants into pots at the same time so I can move them closer to the building and away from mouse central so I get some berries next year.

Empted the pond and cleared sludge at the bottom, not done it for several years, disturbed the frogs but they soon went back and netted it (except for a small section to allow frogs in and out) as the 2 massive sycamore trees will start to drop leaves soon.

BME do you have a net for your pond? if you don't have nearby trees you may not need one, but if you do, you will.

Change that from BME to MBE quick before he sees it. Unless it's intentional. Didn't you see his remark last time you put BME? I think he likes MBE, sounds like he's been honoured for something, growing a squash maybe.;)

Well worth an award, that squash! :p

I've ripped the squash out now - it was trying to grow another but it started to go soft.

I've put in some overwintering onion sets (Shakespeare) and some ordinary, shop-bought garlic.

I'm not surprised. They're probably trying to keep people out that keep emptying the pond and disturbing everything. :rotfl:

No. And I've got an enormous tree waiting to dump loads of leaves in it. I'll keep an eye on it, and if it gets too bad I'll net it, thanks. :)
