We've had at least 1 MSE winner for each of The Times' hourly giveaway comps since I started posting them - sometimes more.

If you don't like the odds then don't enter - simple as that!

If people really are upset about how many times a person can enter then their energy would be better spent voicing their complaints to the Competition organisers.

I'm not upset. Reading these posts just made me decide to give this particular comp a miss. (seems like a waste of a Sunday to me)

If the odds were low enough already they have been reduced even more by people on this thread giving others the idea that you can enter more than once per hour using different email addresses.

Well i got the idea of entering more than once from your first post on this thread as you were the first to mention it.

Have you complained to News Int regarding the T&C's?

I enter for myself with my own details. I'll also pop an entry in for Mr GB with his details.
If he's driving the lappy at a particular hour, then he'll return the favour.
Nothing in the rather brief T&Cs forbids this. If it did, then what I'm doing would be wrong. Therefore, I wouldn't!
Do I feel guilty / a "Cheat?" No, because we are both separate people with our own identities. Unlike some, particularly on Facebook, we're not taking the proverbial!


TERMS & CONDITIONS: You must be 18 years old or over. Winners will be selected at random from all entries received for each hour. If there are no entries in an hour, the winner will be selected from all entries received in the previous hour. There will be 1 winner per hour and 12 winners for the competition. The competition starts at 9am on January 22, 2012 and closes at 20.59 on January 22, 2012. Each hour will run from XX.00 to XX.59 (for instance, the first hour is 9.00 to 9.59). Entry open to residents of UK only. Each winner will win an iPad 2 16GB. Draw will take place on Monday January 23, 2012 and winners will be notified within seven days. Best endeavours will be made to deliver prizes before February 29, 2012, however this cannot be guaranteed. Promoter is Times Newspapers Limited.

It's your choice, but to me, entering for my husband is the same as him entering. My mom, well that's just me being greedy because I want an iPad2 so badly.

MSE'r have won before, from the last comp IIRC, so the chances while might be low but like they say you gotta be in it to win it and I definitely want an Ipad2
