Think it might be:(
as I'm getting the above message about OS not found under normal boot up now!!0 -
Have entered the BIOS to run check disk, will report back here with any errors if any are found:)
No errors reported, and restart and now comes back saying "Operating System Not Found" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0 -
This thing is F***ed:mad:
I can access the options by pressing F8, but when selecting an option like Repair computer nothing happens, just sits on a screen saying "windows is loading files"
So unless anyone has any solutions as to how to bring this piece of rubbish back from the dead, its going to get a visit from Simon the sledghammer:rotfl:0 -
Almost definitely new hard drive required. Sorry pal:idea:0

If youve no way of getting a new operating system on a new drive, id try resetting the system again one last time:idea:0

Nope its preinstalled on the HDD in the Dell recovery part, but I'm unable to access this now:(
DVD would be useless as this notebook doesn't have a disk drive.
The owner says its under guarantee still, so he's going to take it back where he got it from to see if they can help.0 -
If it's under guarantee then it may be best. For future reference you can load a system onto a notebook using a portable USB DVD/CD player and there are various ways of obtaining an install disc!0
