But this is pretends money?, income is the same? Just playing shops- no real increase in income?

Correct, although i think the idea is, the money is dispersed differently so eventually you end up being able to halve your grocery budget because of bargains. and the money you save you do pay yourself back but you can then spend this on luxury items you otherwise could not afford to budget for or leaves more money for bargains. Better in your bank than the supermarkets :)

At least this is the way i think it works :rotfl: please correct me if wrong!

  • I wouldnt DARE admit on MSE ordering something without a code Mothership!! :rotfl:

Thanks so much for the code, that worked, finally I get to try some of Donald Russells posh mince - I am very excited! :o

Nor would I, the free delivery should come off automatically. When I tried to go through a cash saving site the delivery was added, when I didn't it wasn't so... I reckoned if I took a note of the code it might help your purchase go through without the delivery charge. I don't think your meant to get both. For some reason my purchases were tracked through Quidco even though I didn't go through them.

I'm SO glad you got your order through, wait till you see the way they pack the boxes of mince, 'pure class'.
I made a steak pie with their beef rib trim tonight for dinner absolutely delicious. :p

Now your getting it... Thats exactly how it works, there's NOTHING to stop you setting a price you want to pay for each item, remember its your money. I pay full price for most items because I have a good stock, but there was many a time when I couldn't and I paid what I could afford.
Many a time the 2nd Purse and my store kept me and my family for 2-3 months at a time when I got a big bill in I wasn't expecting.
I've reached saturation point now, I don't need to buy anything, so all I need is top ups, thats how I can manage on £100 or thereabouts a month, and we eat well.
Think of it this way if you pay full price for something you need the SM gets the profit, the 2nd purse way you get it, its as simple as that.

  • Can I join this challenge please? OH thinks I'm nuts, but hey, what's new :rotfl:

Can I say thank you to Kerri for getting the thread/challenge going, DFW321 for pointing me in the right direction and especially to Mothership for taking the time to tell us all about it! Thank you all :)

To prove OH wrong, I'm going to aim for a Le Creuset casserole dish which will be for him (he does all the cooking :D) as he's wanted one for quite a while. I think £150 should be plenty .

  • Just thought I'd post this in case anyone was interested. I bought this a few days before the challenge was set up from the 3rd Purse.

I use a fair bit of extra virgin olive oil, I usually buy it in 1 Litre bottles @ around £6.99.
I also buy cheaper ones for cooking when I see them on offer, anyway this one is top quality 4 Litre @ £18.88 on Amazon, a saving of £9.08 on my normal purchases, and its delivered free so no lugging it home.

I've also got my eye on this for a future purchase, but seeing as I've taken all my funds from my 3rd purse I will have to wait a wee while before I can buy it LOL.
