Disconcerting to read in that Telegraph article posted above that Tesco are waiting in the wings to snap up vacant stores left by Peacocks to turn into Express stores. Like we need more Tescos :-(

As far as I know the website is working and you can order items from online, but don't quote me on that.

For some odd reason they were removing all the reduced gift sets and christmas things today, boxing it all up. I asked if it was being taken to an outlet store (dont even know if Peacocks have outlets:o) but she said no, they had just been told to box all reduced stuff up and take it upstairs. Perhaps to make way for new season deliveries, but such a shame to do this as customers were trying to buy these things as they were being boxed up, seems daft to turn customers away when they want to buy things:(

Had to return 2 items that I bought online on 13th January so went in store only to be told they were not giving any refunds! I enquired if i could exchange rather than refund and was told no. I had a £10 gift card so I thought I'd use it just in case the store disappeared before I had a chance to spend it but when I got to the till I was told I couldn't use it!!!! Couldn't believe it. The assistant gave me a claim form to redeem gift voucher (which you can download and print from peacocks website) and told me to call 02920270800 for advice on returning my purchases. When I called they told me there was no info online as they hadn't quite decided yet how they were going to do it but for me to keep checking website....????!!!!! but she did say they will definitely NOT be giving refunds-exchange only. Bit confused about this as when I purchaed the items online they offer you the two return options-via post or in-store. Even the invoice that came with goods had the returns advice stated above. Really not sure where I stand with this...

I know its not a grabbit as lots of us love the shop and don't want even more people jobless I guess this is another way to help.

If anyone has the link to the petition could you post as I would imagine lots of us would sign to it?
