Florida without a car?

You can certainly do Florida (and by that I guess you mean Orlando) without a car. As others say most hotels run shuttle services to the main tourist attractions.

Personally I think it's the lesser option and wouldn't visit there without a car as it would feel like half a holiday. If at all possible I'd advise rethinking and hiring a car.

    Great thanks.

Anyone done Orlando with no car?

hi, we went last year and didnt hire a car and we were fine, we used the iride trolley and taxis and for what we paid out in taxis was less than our car hire/insurance/fuel/parking from the year before.

We did all the disney parks, both universal parks, seaworld, aquatica and busch gardens plus a day at the beach with a car and didnt feel restricted at all,

we are going back this year and not hiring a car again, meaning dh who is the only driver can have a drink when we are out and about and also have a drink on the flight.

As richardw says, have a look on the Orlando thread.
This subject comes up every few pages and has been covered dozens (if not hundreds) of times on there.

NO Florida, smart @@@, save your energy next time.

    No need for that.

    Orlando/Theme Parks, Yes.
    Holiday exploring Florida, No.

As an original mse'er I rarely come on now due to the 'infestation of bugs' who post needless stuff and clog up threads with smart comments.

Thank god for the ignore button.

Original mse'er or not, there is little need for rudeness in this section - especially towards someone who was offering usefull advice to you.

    I have ;).

Its a while ago, but I can recall Key West as being very gay, with not a great deal to do ! Watching the sun go down at the end of the day seemed to be the highlight. If you are going to do that, get there early, as it gets busy.

Its a long way to Key West, other than flying, I can't think how you would get there without a car (I can't recall seeing any public long distance buses).
