Thank you so much - I got the park I wanted for the people I wanted in the accm I wanted at the price I wanted on the dates I wanted
Now all I want is a train ticket deal and sunshine - too much to hope for?

  • Thanks so much for this! I got 4 nights in Devon in June for £60ish. Not bad at all, since I thought there was no way we'd get a hol this year! I just need to save some cash for petrol and spending now. Time to look for some money saving challenges.

Quick question for you nice folks. I've booked 4 nights in Weymouth bay (2 adults, no kids) in May and when the Haven invoice came they've added the entertainment passes on. We're not planning to use the bars, entertainment clubs or swimming pool - the only thing we might want to go to the restaurants.
Would we need the passes to get into these as well as I'm pondering whether to cancel them or not.
    Thanks
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

i would say it depends on the layout of the site... on some sites you have to enter the entertainment complex area to get to eg The Mash anb BArrel pub which serves pub food, but in others the food is in a separate row of restaurants and you can just walk into the restaurant rather than go in through the Funworks complex.... i think Perran Sands in Cornwall was like that...with Pappa Johns Pizza and another restaurant, next to each other.

I have never been to Waymouth Bay - why not post another thread with Waymouth Bay in the title - and look at the site map on the Haven site as well...

I have just looked at the Haven site and it says the Oasis bar and grill is inside the Funworks Centre....so you would probably need passes to get into the building.

From memory (and these sites merge together in my mind after a while) the restuarant is at the front of the main complex and on the left as you look in, with a bit of a decked area. I wouldn't have thought you'd need the entertainment passes to get in, but even if they were checking them at the main door, and you said you just wanted to use the restaurant I'd hope they'd let you.

In saying that, you pay your money you take your chance!

We dont get the entertainment passes. I'd rather save the money on passes to get into a naff restaurant and spend it on a taxi into town for a proper meal.

We went here and its very nice: http://www.chilliesweymouth.com/
