Sorry, haven't anything interesting to say but my computer is playing up, (quelle surprise!) and I am testing it.

Spag Bol was delicious and I ate too much, (quelle surprise again).

Islandmaid: Glad you enjoyed your College meal. They are great aren't they? Did you meet Henry with the amazing eyes and devastating smile? I could take several of those students home with me. In a Grandmotherly way, of course.:D:D:D

    Beth - that's fantastic news :D:D:D
Daisy - hope you feel better soon

No work kids today, we had a big staff meeting all day long. I t wasn't too bad, and we got free lunch :)

I'm still feeling a bit unwell but not as bad as yday. I'm tired though. I even had a bath tonight, and I never have baths! It was nice though, just what I needed. I was non-OS and ordered chinese for dinner. But it will do me 2 meals and it is pay day :).

My new (to me) WM is being delivered tomorrow morning, hoping my Dad will be able to help me fit it then, if not it will be later in week.

I'm going to get an early night, and read my Kindle in bed.

    Night all

    beth - great news! :j
daisy - big fat hugs to you!
    JulieG -MANY congratulations.

Sorry, it's been a while (ok, a week!) since I last posted on here. Looks like a lot has happened in the last week!

OS-wise, I need to sort out some books. The bookshelf is heaving under many books and I need to get rid of a few. They're only chick lit, so don't go well on Amazon and I've tried on www.readitswapit.co.uk but obviously no one reads the trash that I do! :D

Last night when I popped into Tesco for stuff for sandwiches for DH, I hovered around the yellow sticker section for a couple of mins whilst the lady was reducing stuff for a 2nd time. I got some breaded cod for £1.64 for 2, so that was tonight's supper. I also got some "fish pie mix" for £1.50. That's currently languishing in the freezer for another day!

Right, I'd better go but I thought that I needed to report in! :D

Evening all, not much OS here today as I woke up with a banging headache and have spent most of the day in bed. Thought it was migraine but my usual medication didn't touch it. I know how you feel daisiegg I felt so guilty at not going to school today but it is one of those jobs you have to be 100% fit to do. Hope that they find out what it is soon.((((((Hugs)))))))
Beth that is good news , good vibes coming your way for the other thing
Lou exercise should improve your mood good on you for doing that. Hope things get better for you.
LW Hope the pain is improving.
No more news on my Dear Mum, think my headache today is linked to worrying about her .
Hugs to all the poorlies and p****d off.
Tru good luck with the jobs and glad we don't have to abandon ship.:j

Beth :j:j:j:j Brilliant news. I am still keeping the positive vibes going for you x x

Daisy (((((((Hugs))))))) Teaching is one of the hardest and thankless professions - Your health has got to come first. x

Have been MIA for the last couple of days because I have had a lot of pain knees wise, I have more or less slept 2 days away because I have taken the maximum dose of tramadol that I am allowed and to top that I have a mouth full of cold sores :(

We have had some fun and games tonight.
DD came home from college and was followed into the house by a dog  Lovely little staffy cross, he didn't have a name tag on his collar so we phoned the police who told us to phone the dog warden, which we did and she said that it could be 4 hours before she got to us.
Half an hour later we got a telephone call from the police to say that they had a very upset owner there and could they give her our address. It was her dog and they were happily reunited :D
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

    Evening all,

Beth....wonderful news...hopefully kidney thing will not be anything sinister either.

Did a wash this morning but no hope of hanging it out....drizzle here for good part of the day. Dinner tonight was steak, onions, turnip (swede, cooked in microwave), dauphinois potatoes, cabbage, cake for me for pudding, OH didn't have any...

Back to swimming classes last night and I am now in advanced class....very pleased with myself, must try to get at least 2 swims in before next class.

Nothing planned for weekend, must pop to local town and pick up jacket OH left when we had a coffee the other day....usually just his glasses he leaves behind but I think he's getting worse!

Lou, glad to see you posting, keep up the exercise.

Got a bit of a shock last night, brother rang me to say that he had met a mutual friend and was shocked at how much weight he had lost (50 lbs since October), turns out that he went to doctor to have a slight, he thought, bladder problem checked and when they did tests, turned out that he had a large malignant tumour on his colon and secondaries inhis liver....they have removed the tumour and he is currently having chemo for the liver problem, they hope to be able to operate if sites shrink. Spoke to him today and he says that he is ok but gets very tired, is very upbeat about the whole thing....to me the frightening thing is that he has always been very active and says that he had no indication that anything was wrong...will go see him next week as he is not due chemo again for 2 weeks.

The blanket which I am crocheting for DD4 is now 5 feet square, hopefully will get most of it done over weekend, should be nice size when all the wool has been used....

Tired to-night, need to take dogs out, Mossy has taken to heading off for hours if let out on his own, so just taking him out on a lead a few times in the day....DS3 is putting down the wire for one of those electric collar jobs but is very busy so dont want to hassle him....will be glad when I don't have this procession at night, we have no footpath so have to be very careful....Kerry hates the lead and the road even more!

Hugs to all in need or want for whatever reason....stay safe and sleep well
