I took out a contents and buildings policy with Zurich last year via Quidco and they only paid out the £60 once, although it tracked twice (which rather surprised me) the second payment was declined. I was very happy though as the quote was far cheaper than my renewal and was for the same cover. The same happend for a relation of mine who I recommended to Quidco and Zurich, only one payment.Grant me the serenity to accept the people I cannot change, the courage to change the one I can and the wisdom to know it's me"0 -

Might be worth while taking Buildings and contents insurance out with separate companies on Quidco in that case"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

I bought my Buildings insurance via Zurich on Wed with a view to buying my contents insurance next week but it hasn't tracked. Which is rather irritating as this is the first time something hasn't tracked. As it isn't due to start until March I'm tempted to cancel and try again."The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

hi im wondering about my car insurance, im usualy on my mums insurance as im under 25 and its so expensive to be on my own one, checked on zurick and its double to put it on me. Question is if my mums name goes on the form does that mean it will have to be done through her quidico? I'll be paying it with my card though, just want to make sure i will get the 120 quid back realy0

I feel I must correct this...your statement about having a claim whilst under dual insurance, and the claims being repudiated is simply not true. If a customer makes a claim and it transpires they are insured under two policies, then the two companies will share the cost of the claim, NOT repudiate it. Why would they? It would n't make sense
cheersmaemaesmummy wrote:The only problems with leaving an existing policy running and incepting a new one is this:
No claims bonus can only be used once hence if existing policy due May and left running when Zurich call existing insurer to confirm will be told policy current and therefore NCD will not apply
Also in my experience if you have 2 policies current for the same thing ie contents & you need to make a claim (insurers then check database and will find 2 policies for same thing) then knowing Insurance Companies they will get into who is paying for the claim... and generally both repudiate on grounds of dual insurance.
Worth knowing just in case!0 -
UPDATE!!!! The Zurich page on Quidco seems to have been taken down. I checked 5mins ago and Zurich is no longer listed on the site and navigating to the page I had in my history it comes up with page not found.
I was just about to get buildings and contents insurance as well0
