I tried the Aldi mini Camembert this week (Black Pepper flavour). This is the flat, round one, not the wedge-shaped ones.

It's nice to see an unusual product like this, but the flavour overall was too weak, and the product is too small to be good VFM (by Aldi standards)

That's a shame. I'm delighted that the Gorgonzola Dolce is still available (afraid it would disappear after Christmas). Regular camembert from both Aldi and Lidl is quite acceptable and compares well with many I've bought in France. What I'd like is a version in wrapped segments.

The Aldi Gorgonzola Dolce is very nice. Lidl also do a version at the same price, I believe.

It's one of the great things about Aldi - the selection of great value cheeses.

How do you keep track of the BBE?

Olive oil doesn't last long enough here to bother with - btw, BBE is only BBE, things often last months over the dates (ask Approved Foods customers and see thread below!)

No £5 off coupon in the DM yesterday just some money off coupons ): a little bit of a disappointment for many expecting a Aldi saver again !

Aldi's reached the point now at which it doesn't need to offer £5 incentives any more. A shame - but it's still 30% cheaper than most of the alternatives.

Agree with this, but a) once you decant you immediately reduce the shelf life and b) rancid fat is disgusting, and can ruin a dish - so do you taste test it every time you use it in cooking?

I tried the Sopocka Loin - now I really don't like packaged hams or most packaged meats - but love the Aldi Pastrami so thought I would give this a try. Its lovely! very tasty!

it really doesn't get old enough here to go off. 5 - 6 weeks max per bottle, we cook loads, lol. I store it in the original bottles until I need a new one, then fill in half, later the other half.

The Italian sodas are coming back to Aldi - the Orange really tastes like the real thing.

Are they the Sanpellegrino ones, or a similar brand?
