I have one for less than that and I know people who've got them even cheaper but they're nowhere near as new as the op seems to want so it's pointless mentioning it really.

My opinion, based on what you've stated, a brand new BMW 520d Efficient Dynamics should cover all your requirements.

Really sorry for the budget ommission - does something in the region of (say) £10K - £12K plus mine (+/-) be a guide at all ? I got the current Signum at 11 months old trading in my 4 year one (if that helps). Prepared to consider all options but do not need large engine capacity now (max 2000 cc ?) but certainly NO MORE low profile tyred bone-shaking rides preferred. All your comments/interest is appreciated - thanks

You didn't need to but its unlikely he got a year or two old car for £650 unless it was a salvage car!

Sorry to be a pedant, but you've still not actually given a budget as we don't know the value of your current car. I'm guessing you do probably do know the value of your current car. Therefore to save everyone having to go off and investigate the value of used Signum's why not put the total budget you have to spend.

The OP must be a politician or lawyer, such is their reluctance to give a straight answer.
I reckon that a decent BMW M5 could be had for around £20K.

Apologies - a politician/lawyer ? - nah, just a three score years and eleven pensioner who is out of touch with current vehicles available ! Budget - let us work on 'about' £15K (or a bit more if pushed). Trust all the info now required and await your suggestions that you feel ' fits the bill' with great interest.
