Hi all,
I just wanted to help anyone who may be thinking of buying Timberland boots on ebay at the moment...
I work for Timberland and we have been inundated with LOTS of fakes from eBay, particularly in the last 7 days, obviously people have bought these with the best of intentions and have been badly ripped off.
If there is anyone thinking of buying Timberland boots from eBay and you aren't sure if they are genuine, please drop me a PM and I can give you a few hints on what to look for/questions to ask the seller.
DM x
NB Sorry! but I can't help you get cheap or wholesale Timberland boots/shoes, so please don't ask!

Fakes on Ebay, In the words of Victor Meldrow "I don't believe it".
You would be hard pushed to find genuine designer gear on Ebay.0 -
Why can't you just post the hints for everyone to read?Making money make sense...........:T0

Ebay are renowned for fakes, why doesn't Timberland VERO them so that none are allowed to be sold unless they can be proven to be real>"Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

I know hubby purchased a fake pair, although he refuses to believe it!!"I did then, what I knew then. And when I knew better, I did better"0

Yeah so hard to tell unfortunately
I've just sold my 2 (genuine) pairs on ebay and when selling branded items I always try and take a close-up pic of the tag/labels/inner patterns etc just to try and help people trust it although it's very hard0 -

I take insult in that, I sell alot of genuine Adidas trainers and I always get good feedback (100%). I have also sold Timberland boots, again genuine, bought from Timberland. If you cant tell the genuine gear then dont buy it, but do not tar everyone with the same brush. Ebay does need to sort its act out as it is genuine people like myself who suffer from ill informed people. If you wear genuine gear then you would be able to tell alot of fakes from the pictures and description, and the questions you ask the sellers.0 -
Yes, but many people see the price, don't bother to ask any questions and then scream blue murder if fakes turn up.
I'm sure there are many genuine articles for sale on ebay, it's just the fakers that ruin it for everyone else."Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

Fakers do ruin it for people like myself, but buyers can minimize the risk. That is knowing what to look for, and buy from a verified seller. If you are going to buy a pair of Timberland boots, start by knowing what tags should be inside and for pictures of these. If I buy Armani for instance, there should be a tag in which says Simin T and I want a picture of it. If you want to buy lacoste then there should be a tag which says Devanlay inside. If a seller can't meet these requirements then don't bid. Also look out for words in the description like 'style'. Eg Armani 'style', Lacoste 'style'. Good wording like this can have you over.
There are some bargains to be had on EBAY if you know what you are looking for. I hope this helps some one.0 -

Because there are so many boots/shoes and if someone tells me what they are looking at buying I can tailor my information to what they want as there are different things to look for between mens, ladies and kids boots, so if someone says they want to buy a pair of ladies yellow boots, I can give them the major points to look/ask for.£2 Coin Savers Club (Christmas)- £86£1 Jar (Christmas)- £29Christmas Vouchers Saved: £1450 -
