The box states. Free wireless anywhere(or is it everywhere)?

When this is not the case.

It also says on a plane. How does this work then?

I received mine a few days ago. It looks simple to set up, just need to get my hands on a usb modem with a spare ethernet socket as the modem i currently use just has the usb and phone line. Any ideas where I can get a cheap one?

my boyfriend got his earlier in the week. Trouble is you need an ethernet (sp) thing to use it, and our broadband is via a modem.

Something like that. So now we dunno what to do with it

You'll need to buy a new modem.

If your PC has wireless then just a modem with an ethernet socket will do as you'll be able to use the wireless connection to the FON router to connect your PC to the internet.

If your PC doesn't have wireless you have 2 options:

1 Buy modem as above and a wireless card or dongle for your PC.

2 Buy a new modem with a built in ethernet router (these usually have 4 or 5 ethernet ports) so that you can connect both your PC and the FON router to your modem.. You'll also need an ethernet port on the PC (this might mean buying another card).
