nope, I use the Campbells condensed mushroom soup with chicken to make a cassarole sure you could use the others just as well in recipies too.

  • I've used the chicken or mushroom one for adding to chicken to create a casserole. Often add whatever veg I have left in the fridge at the end of the week. Ok with rice or pasta or jacket spuds.

Hiya, I use the Italian Tomato with Basil soup for pasta with some chicken through it and it's lovely. I use some milk to "dilute" it and it gives it a more creamy flavour/texture. Also the cream of chicken is good with pasta/chicken too. :j

I use the mushroom one to make a chicken and mushroom pie, using left over chicken from the Sunday roast. I believe some people use the tomato one for a pasta bake or similar. But I have only ever used the mushroom for said pie and I can certainly vouch for that one.

We had chicken & mushroom pie last night for tea with the left over sunday chicken. Its a quick easy and tasty meal for us, just add veg.I usually make up pastry mix , then freeze it, so just need to take out what i need.:D
The low fat can is just as tasty as well.

I used the condensed tomato soup in place of a tomato sauce for a fish lasagne last year. Layered spinach with fish and topped it with lasagne sheets and then the soup. Breadcrumbs with a bit of grated cheese on top. It was tasty!

I use the chicken one with brocollei, chicken leftovers, t/spoon of curry powder and some majonaisse and some milk, cover in breadcrumbs and cheese - pop in oven - delicious!

Also the tomato one is good, with some garlic philly , some onions and put through pasta - usually with chicken too.

Try a nice big fillet of a meaty white fish (coley?), 'casseroled' in a tin of Campbell's (it's now Batchelors, BTW) condensed mushroom soup.

Don't know if I should admit to this but....

I have a recipe book dated 1978 that has nothing but recipes in it using Campbells condensed soups

Haven't counted the number of recipes in it - but there are 144 pages. I don't even know if some of the soups are made anymore (condensed French onion soup anyone?)
  • I use the mushroom condensed soup to make chicken supreme.
    I fry onion,mushrooms,garlic & left-over chicken,add left-over( ) white wine,cook for about 5 mins add sweetcorn & soup.serve with rice.Home bargains always have a stock of Campbells soup at 39p.
