  • Does anyone know what dates the £1 rooms will be for? I can't find it on the site. 10 April to 30 June - thanks zoobenny

Also, does anyone who got one last time have any good advice?

I remember people saying that those who already had an account had an advantage because they didn't have to fill all their details in. Can you get an account without booking a room? I can't see a way.

Before it was also mentioned that using the htlm site was more sucessfull than using the flash site. Umm, so how do you do that?

Sorry if I sound desperate... but I am :D
There is a thread on the travel board with a link to the last time thread- I think people wrote down how to get the non flash site there. If you have already said yes to the flash thing maybe clearing cookies will do it.
last time I was convinced that the peolpe already registered did better but now I see it only fills in your address details not the card- but better than nothing. Find out what their cancellation policy is and if it is good ,book a room then cancel it? Also book as near the end as possible (for June) as people naturally go for the early dates first. Weekends went first, unsurprisingly. Consider a £29 room as they are a more likely bet.
Also I highly recommend that you convince yourself you are not going to get one as it was an incredibly awful internet experience last time and I would have valued some Zen like patience to get me through it.:o
  • I've had an email about this but seen it's already been posted.

Just bumping up in case of use to anyone.
  • What dates are the £29 rooms - as everyone keeps saying that the £1 rooms are. I think Im going to try for one of these as it sounds like theres more chance.

If you go on the site now and select dates no price comes up

There are some rooms at each price on every night. It is first come first served, so they go quickly, weekends first.

Yes I have just tried and it does not give a price - they ask for card details etc but prefer not to book until I know price

took me a while to work out how to use the booking page of the site.... first click the check in date, then the check out date, then click the room you'd like (it offered only the double as an option when i was testing, but it must be highlighted for the price to show).

Now i'm familiar with how it works, i'm hoping i'll remember to come back at 5 :rotfl:

  • I have tried to book some dates in April, but you seem to have to book more than 1 day for a price to be displayed. Haven't found any £1 nights, but have found some for about £59 per night! it seems the price goes down the more days you stay, and its cheaper further away from todays date!

Select 2 consecutive dates for a ONE NIGHT booking, the first is when you check in, and the following day is when you check out, so only one night's stay.
