Been to the Leeds Albion St at lunch time and OMG it was packed! they had loads of the Carosel Gift sets left and some kind of Project D gift set (they were bringing loads more of these out too) hardly any mens stuff, no toys or kids stuff, one or two food bits (GU xmas crackers) I managed to get the last hello kitty jewellery box (i wanted this before xmas) and a strictly nail varnish set (pressie) but nothing left by way of No.7 or soap and glory.

    hope this helps someone :)
  • sitting surrounded by my £89 of spoils. Christmas 2012-done! Absolutely mental at Boots Boscombe at 9am, but sooooo worthwhile. Shopping heaven!:T
  • I forgot to use my double points voucher this morning. Bought £52 worth of stuff. If I pop back, will they honour it do you think????

The toys in Crawley were at the back of the store in a clearance section at about 50% off so not great. A few toys were 75% off like Cars 2 bath beanies, a noisy thomas (dear god I regret this buy already), peppa pig weird pillow things and some other random useless looking things.

So I agree that this is the worse 75% off sale they've had yet. I normally buy mens gift sets to stock my hubbys cupboard up for the rest of the year but there was nothing. The food stuff still seemed really pricey to me and the smelles sets were a bit too "young" for me and my friends/relatives (and I'm only 31!)

yes I thought alot was too young (aimed at teenagers) or too old (royal jelly, boots extracts etc, rose and lavendar baskets etc). It's only really the usual suspects of No 7 (v.jealous of the chelmsford store with hatboxes!) sanctuary and s+G for the 30 somethings.
  • Was at watford first thing, and some bloke was putting through the till about 20 of the big blue bags of stuff. One of the bags was full to the brim of dove sets - looked like about 30 sets in that bag alone.

This is the worst I have ever seen of someone taking everything and the staff did not seem bothered (probably just want to shift it). It just seems unfair on others who shop at boots throughout the year and deserve a little january bonus ;)

Like someone said if people cant get there at opening they miss out because of these greedy people

Oooh were you there at opening? I may have seen you?

I agree the toys were lousy, I only ended up getting dd a dora toothbrush because they are always handy to have and we already had a peppa pig hot water bottle/pillowcase cover from last year. Usually the toy sale is much better so very disappointed. Thank goodness we did well in the Tesco 90% otherwise we would have to really strecth the present budget this year.

I only bought six things but all six are great gifts, best buy was the starbucks set (which at £30 was waaay to expensive) and the Champney's huge box of products £12.50 down from £50.

I used my Boots points from earlier this year so had £40 worth of points that cost me £10, and £3 back in points too. So I guess my real total is £7 + £5 left from that deal in Boots points lol.
    Comping wishlist for 2017
    1. Family holiday 2. Christmas presents :rudolf: 3. Fishing stuff

    Debt-free and Proud!
Just had a wander down to the Preston central store on my lunch break and managed to get a few little bits including mini Philosophy shower gels in a cute xmas packaging for next year, a marmite gift set, some cute retro clothes hangers, a Fearne Cotton makeup brush set and a Boots fairtrade giftbag with body butter, body scrub and body wash.

Hardly thrilling, was really hoping for some Sanctuary or S&G but as everyone else has noted, the vultures had already been and bought en masse!! People were digging through baskets left on the floor and scrambling around under the shelves. Was a bit embarassing really!

    I'd rather not bother!
