Castlepoint in Bmth was like a jumble sale at 9:30 everyone pushing each other and grabbing things as the staff were putting them out..!! got £45 worth of stuff ...the s & g tin didnt seem that good really so left that...got a nice jewellery box metal one and a few number 7 things and a couple of candles and hairspray

Really! I had no problems - people were moving out of way for staff when I was there. Mind you I checked out at 9.45 so maybe it got worse
  • Just had a wander down to the Preston central store on my lunch break and managed to get a few little bits including mini Philosophy shower gels in a cute xmas packaging for next year, a marmite gift set, some cute retro clothes hangers, a Fearne Cotton makeup brush set and a Boots fairtrade giftbag with body butter, body scrub and body wash.

Hardly thrilling, was really hoping for some Sanctuary or S&G but as everyone else has noted, the vultures had already been and bought en masse!! People were digging through baskets left on the floor and scrambling around under the shelves. Was a bit embarassing really!
You bowl like your mother. Unless of course she bowls well, in which case you bowl nothing like her <3 Big Bang Theory :)

  • Hi, I went to the fort in Cheetham Hill, Manchester, at about 9.15 am, I went to pick a soap and glory gift set off a shelf and a Jewish lady bawled at me that they were all sold and that they all belonged to her. Next thing I knew was that a member of staff came with an actual trolley (bearing in mind that I have never seen a trolly in this small store)and helped her and her child(who had helped guard the whole shelf full of stock) into the trolley and proceed to the till. This lady tried to justify hat she was buying the whole stock for a mother and baby unit somewhere?. I could of said this myself, as could anyone of us. I did manage to get 2, F.C.U.K body wash and body spray, and 2, F.C.U.K. body spray and boxers set, (as have two sons) and left the rest of the items for others.

It is well documented that mother and baby units require soap and glory in order to remain open. Other toiletries are not acceptable and without S +G the unit must close down.:rotfl:

This has to be the worst 75% sale in years, where are all the gadgets and toys? Only shelves full of beauty and bath sets in the two shops I called in this morning. No food, chocolate gifts either. I normally buy a year's supply of Birthday gifts with items left over for next Christmas, I left both shops without buying anything!

Gutted I have work today as I can't get there until 4pm. No doubt some greedy cows will have cleared the shelves by then :(

Went to Slough at lunchtime, nothing but dribs and drabs left. I figure if you're not there first thing in the morning, you lose out.

Couldn't see anything Sanctuary or S&G

anyway not a total loss as went to TK maxx and got a Melissa and Doug pirate ship
