Morning all
In bed with the lappie and a cuppa. It's damp today so no scraping of cars needed.
FMW enjoy your trip to Japan we have just come back from a visit as my daughter lives there. She works in a school with 2 and 3 year olds.
Went to the gym yesterday and enjoyed it then on to the computer applying for jobs........not had to do that for a while as I was 16 years in my previous job. OH has not had his rough estimate of redundancy pay yet but I would prefer hard figures but we will have to wait a bit for those.
More job applications today, cooking, hoovering, washing to do. Have post holiday blues I guess.
Hoping for a chat on skype with DD today as it was her birthday yesterday. They are 9 hours in front so our morning is her evening.
Have a good day all.
Hugs

Having major collywobbles about moving to oz at the mo but I think thats probably what everyone goes through but its keeping me awake:( its not leaving the place its the thought of being so far away from family.

Morning all,
Bit of a slow morning here as I had a terrible nights sleep. Lots of jobs to do today but no enthusiasm:- Clean out the utility
- Sweep the entry way
- Fetch Prescription
- Tidy & Hoover upstairs
- Fetch coal in
- Do some washing
- Mop the bathroom floor
- Put BM on
Because of the giving up work situation I've been really monitoring what I spend and avoiding going to the supermarket wherever I can. I noticed yesterday we had no pasta but we have a ton of bread flour and stock piles of vaious other items so I realised that I need to shop more wisely. I'm torn between visiting the big Asian supermarket now, when I only need a few things, or buying what I need from MrT for now and going to the big one in a few weeks.
I tackled our pantry yesterday and found that a 2l plastic milk carton fits perfectly into a space in the wine rack. I've been using washed out milk bottles for some time now and our wine consumption has reduced so this is a fab storage system for us. Hopefully this will help with my 'stock rotation'.
Chickens are being grumpy with this cold weather and are laying me a solitary egg per day. They're a bit off their food and lacking enthusiasm too so I shall do them some veggie mash for later. I need to investigate a new drinkning system for them as they are currently getting their water everywhere and it's wrecking the floor of their coop.
I'm a little worried about SIL with a two week old baby. We've always spoken / texted / met up on a really regular basis (some contact every day) and this has almost stopped. Now I do appreciate how busy and tired she is, but I'm also worried about PND as she just isn't 'right'. The baby is very much wanted and loved but I can't get over the feeling that she needs a little more help and I don't know how to make myself more available without being pushy. We do have plans to go into town tomorrow so maybe she'll open up then. I just hope it is the tiredness and nothing more.
Hugs to all that need / want them.0 -
