I did not wait to summer to save money. I already said I had bought some the winter before at full price. I bought it in summer for next winter as I saw it cheap that is not being tight its trying to make my money go further
You dont know me but you judge me that I am tight.
Let me get this straight if I was tight I wouldn't buy de-icer. I wouldn't buy rainx etc. I just paid £30 this week for some stuff for car including Gtechniq G3 ClearVision Glass Coat at £10 a bottle but it lasts I also got some detailing stuff, but then I look after my car, its called money saving so I make it last, so by your reckoning I must be tight
Oh and I wouldn't also buy some stuff for the car inside to stop windows condensing0 -

I also have a company vehicle where the owners use kwikfit as they are not bothered about price, it is tax deductable.
I received a free ice scraper, along with some other goodies, in November.0 -

But you are judging others as tight yourself!
Some people are so tight to have to spend £1.50 of some de-icer.
The above is from your first post. And you have reiterated it in this post, above.0 -
No the Op mentioned about people not doing things about looking through there windcsreens
I mealy was suggesting that if it was down to money being tight stock up in Summer, of course it no good now doing it you need de-icer now. I dont use scrapers unless I have too dont like using abrasive things on carBut you are judging others as tight yourself!

I don't think it is tight to buy (and store) de-icer in the summer when it is cheaper.
This is Money Saving Expert after all.
if you people trying to save money are "tight" - which isn't a compliment - what are you doing on here?0 -

Your lucky.
I have a contract vehicle, which includes all servicing and tyres.
Kwik have the contract. My tyres have to go into illegal situation, before kwik fit can get authorisation, then I had to go to 3 branches, before one was willing to fit them. They are paid a set amount by the contract co to supply tyres for the whole contract co's fleet of cars ( 1000's), but the branches do not get a penny on their sales from them, so they are in effect doing them for no profit and lost labour charges. They would rather fit a private persons tyres, exhaust etc as at least they make money.0 -

This has gotten out of control.
qetu, one can buy de-icer right now for a £1 in a poundshop!
Even if they reduced this to 2 for 1 in the summer one saves 50p!! Big woof!
I, and I imagine most other members, are interested in saving monies of a significant amount, this is just penny pinching!
And it wasn't me who said anybody was tight, I pointed out member savemoney, was himself calling those who don't buy de-icer tight!!!!!!!!!

I'd rather save pounds than pennies but there is an old proverb
look after the pennies and the pounds look after themselves0
