Hey BB... great to see you over here.... lol

Just checked Quidco and payment date shows ~ Jan 2009, is that likely to be end of Jan? May need to re-think using that for the car tax pot to be on the safe side.

And I've just seen that the sun are starting their holidays again from Sat... so that will need to be budgeted for in Jan too.

Yeah if its rolled over to Jan that means it should get paid at the end of Jan, but beware, if its an insurance they seem to be taking forever to pay out on there, I did mine in June and it should have paid out in Oct and its just rolled over again to Jan too  :D

Yeah it was Asda home insurance.... policy was less that £68 too!! :)

Oh well that can be a bonus at some point then.

I have a £25 giftcard that my good friend gave me for xmas from New Look, now whilst I'd happily buy something am thinking car tax, car tax, car tax.... can I sell it on ebay??

Have listed my giftcard on ebay, fingers crossed it gets to a decent amount.

Yest was a NSD, although did spend £32 on clothes for DD but that comes out of her account.

I need to return a library book today that is overdue so will have a fine to pay.... doh!! And I need a few bits from Asda but that's all I'll be spending today.

Have a fair few birthdays in Jan, but got 2 presents already..woohooo!!

    Hi Tigzem,

I've just been reading your diary and think you've come a long way from when you first started. Glad you're making a fresh start for 2009 - good luck

    Thanks Mancbird, am trying! x

Was really chuffed yest, went shopping, bought a fresh soup mix that you have to cook with veg stock and blend, it was only a £1 and made 4 lots of soup for work! So have frozen them. They do 2 flavours, carrot & coriander and leek & potato. I had the carrot & coriander one, was yummy.

Another £2 into the sealed pot yest.

Am off to Kettering today to visit an old school friend so will be spending a fair amount on petrol (300 miles round trip!!!) but hotel was paid for last year, travelodge, £19 and my friend is cooking tonight for DD & I.

Hopefully shouldn't need to spend much more.

A friend at work bought my NL gift card for £25 and I sold a kidsleep alarm clock on ebay for £21, so that's £46ish towards car tax (not sure what ebay fees will be though??)

Must work out other ways to raise cash for tax... prob only going to get 6 months to save pennies this month.

Have a good w/end to anyone reading my waffle xx

Wooohoooo just booked my sun holiday, got may in Cornwall. Can't wait! Not been to this site before but the beach looks lovely. And there's a minature steam railway so DD will love that!

My trip went well but spend more than I thought, DD and I had brekkie at the little chef, cost £10 for us both! DD only had weetabix.... oh well.

    Thought I'd do a list a la BB&me....lol

[strike]* Clean out old car ready for collection on Wed[/strike]
    * Clean current car as after the trip it's covered in grime & salt
    * Hunt down at least 3 things to sell on ebay
[strike]* Put beef stew in slow cooker[/strike]
    [STRIKE]* Finish ironing[/STRIKE]

    Have a good Sunday xx

    Argh... having a mare :mad::mad::mad:

I bought a new car back in Nov, was then shocked at how little my old car was worth, but hey ho. Anyway it's finally sold on ebay for £800, matey is coming from Bedford today to collect it. But because I hadn't kept it running over the cold period the battery died on it so had to buy a new one yest, £55. Plus I paid £140 back in Dec for a new MOT and some work it needed. Then matey just rung to say he's having to catch the train down as his brothers car broke down last night (yeah right!!) and he will be £20 short as had to buy a train ticket, I had to say ok as don't want to pay again on ebay to sell it (this was 3rd attempt) so this car to sell it has cost me loads of money!!!! Argh....... not happy!!!

Debt busting has come to a halt and I'm struggling to remain postive at the mo.

Eek haven't posted in here for a while. Not much to say tho re debt busting, am just trying to keep my head above water at the mo. Got CT arrears to clear, just paid out for car tax (£101.75)and got £145 to find by middle of feb to renew the tenancy on the house for another year ~ robbing letting agents

I'm hoping after Feb is out of the way I can get on with clearing some debts, god knows I need to.......
