    Hi Everyone.

I have been lurking on this forum for a while & have decided to join. I was hoping that you lovely ladies could maybe give me some advice :)? I have been making cards for just over a year & was extremely lucky this Xmas as I got a Big Shot & a Sissix eclips so have decided to start up a card making business. Anyway I noticed from a few of your posts that you ladies sell your cards and I was wondering how you go about doing that?
Also I have been buying mostly things on eBay or Hobbycraft but could anyone suggest a good online company for buying cards, backing papers etc?

    Thanks in advance :)

Hi newbies, welcome to the thread, it's a lovely friendly place to be :)

Wifey, you take lots of care of yourself missus xxx

Madfrog, I have finally got a package together and hope my OH will post it off tomorrow, sorry for the delay :o

My nan had yet another fall at the weekend and has chipped her wrist bone in two places, she is in a heavy duty splint for 4 weeks :( She managed to fall in her room and not onto one of the many crashmats she has on her floor. The nursing home are being brilliant with her, I am so glad she is there.

Dee, welcome and have a look on the previous page there are a few recommendation for you.

Some people open an Etsy Shop, sell on Ebay, do craft fairs etc, take them to work or send them with someone who doesn't mind doing it for you. A few of us get private commissions from friends or people who have seen our work.

Have you got a blog where you can post your work? Most of us on here have so, have a look for our home pages under our names by left clicking on it. Remember a lot of us copyright our work.
 Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"!

  • Help!! Do any of you lovely people have a template (or know where I can find one) for a heart shaped easel card?? Need it for my valentines commission :) Thank you!! :D

Hugs to those who need them and a big HELLO! to the new "faces" :)

Had a quick play in the craftroom tonight making my February DT card for Meslyn Crafts. It's out of my normal style, but I like it! I'm trying to push myself to try different styles and for the most part I'm liking the results - I did want to add buttons/glitter but managed to resist! It should be on my blog in the next couple of days :)

Yaay two male cards finished one half done (then back to 'proper girly card making) :D I found a parcel this morning by the bins have been waiting for it since last week, why can't they just put something through the letterbox to let you know where things are

It's OH Birthday on Saturday, I have suggested going out for a meal he said he would let me know numbers by last Friday ..... Guess its the local curry house then ;) men!

Rainmac Your poor Nan I am very glad to read she is getting good care, I don't think RBK is doing so well at the moment :(

  • Hi

Thanks Wife for your advice. I don't have a blog but that is something that I could have a look into. I did make up a FB page for my cards but I have temporarily come off of FB (off work at the moment but thats another story :))

I have had a look at a few of your blogs and love the cards that you have done, they are fantastic. I notice that the Magnolia/LOTV stamps are quite popular with people they are lovely images, I bought a CD with the Hanglar images on so am in the process of using those.

Anyway hope to get to know you all soon.
