I would think so if the pin head is fat enough to fill the opening or the lid has enough space to enclose the pin head, ( does that make sense:):) )

Can I put off the closing date till thursday 11th as I will be busy on the 10th ( I am going on a protest march:eek: fancy getting to my age and deciding to be unruly :rotfl: )

I bought the new spellbinder christmas tree die today so I am off to play its very intricate so I may have to say a few blue words but I think it is beautiful.

    Hi Jem,
Could you post a picture of what you mean by a box card. I'm sure we can help you but I'm wondering whether to point you in the direction of making a mini book rather than a card.

Ours are like these but not padded. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Job-Lot-10-Large-Boxed-Padded-Greeting-Cards-Birthdays-Anniversary-Christmas-/110959272882#ht_500wt_1288

What is a mini book? Sorry for being a dunce and thanks for your help x

    Hello!!

I have been making cards - honest! and reading but not posting. I know I'm a bad'un.

And then I come back woth a big ask - hope you don;t mind - its not for me .......

is there any chance anyone can help this lady out

She's looking for 200 large (15cm butterflies) to decorate her Mums coffin at the funeral.
"I need to lay my hands on 200 card butterflies, in exactly the colours shown in this photograph plus maybe a magenta. There’s lots of cut-outs or hole-punch type things, but they are meant for scrapbooking and far too small. These need to be around 15cm wide. Mum worked in a school (as the school nurse) and they are all missing her greatly. I want to get all the children to either write Mum a message, or draw her a picture, then we’re going to stick them all over that horrible “box” one has to go into (I still can’t say the “c” word, yet), to take the sting out of that visual for all of us on the day we’re all dreading"

I don't know her so you'd be best dropping a comment on her page or let me know and I'll contact her via twitter.

    Hope to be back soon,
    TTFN
    xx

    Arty- beautiful card.
Macma- I don't use it in a tube but it might help to push the glue to the top so there is no air in the tube. I also have a long pin embellishment which usually manages to get through any blockages eventually!

You are not a dunce- I just spend too much time on the Internet!!
Now I have a rough idea of what you mean I'll get my thinking cap on. Just to check though do you basically want to make a large card or a large card with some pages in? Also were you wanting to make a box to store it in? Do you have any crafting supplies? Use the computer much? I'm guessing you'll want to keep it simple. It is probably worth checking out the homepages of people on this thread to get an idea of the types of images etc you can use.

There are lots of mini- books. This is one example

Thank you very much for the reply *Jellie*

I only have very basic supplies of card, glue and embellishments.

The mini book looks wonderful thank you. :)

I would love to make an A4 card to match the size of my husbands and I, would that work with a huge piece of card?

Happy for the pages to be paper rather than card if that's easier?

I would love to make a box but assumed I would need a machine of some sort? Can they be handmade?

Easier to commission one from ebay or somewhere but I really want to do it, even if it looks like a 5 year old made it :rotfl:

    Thanks again x
