  • Hello! Now don't fall over in shock - yes I know it's been a while since my last post!

Right then, without any more delay (and god knows there has been enough of that!) the winner of my challenge to "use a real stamp" is Rusty :) xx Now I know she doesn't come on here much so will ping her via FB to let her know xx

Welcome to the newbies *waves* - my input on the whole bub vs G.C is get a Bigshot! They're awesome and can use 99.99% of dies out there (apart from the huge ones - you'd need a Bigshot Pro for them) :D

The best place for one is Oyster Stamps as I have been researching prices as I want to buy one. The only reason I haven;t bought one yet is seeing the posts about those that have broken. :(

The cheapest place may well be oyster stamps but I wouldn't recommend that company to anyone!! I had my GC from there and it broke and took me over 2 months and the threat of legal action to get it replaced! I then sold the replacement!! I would never use one and those with big shots may like to know that the biggest 2 dies on most grand nesties are the only ones which wont work in a big shot! the other smaller ones all do! I know this cause I have circle and scallop circle!

Hello to all the newbies and all the oldies (can I call you oldies?? it feels wrong!) we have been away on holiday hence the lack of posts/blogging and everything else! glad to be home but wish other things like the ongoing kitchen problems would be over!

Hopefully be back in the swing of crafting when the kids go back to school!

Ok. After giving it much thought-and thanks for your input RustyFlange and CraftyLouise, I've now decided to look for a bigshot Pro instead of a calibur. :)

Yes you can! - I qualify as an 'oldie' on all counts!

Tattycath - I rarely watch C&C but I agree with Padster they seem very expensive.

Not much crafting going on here (or anything else for that matter) but am hoping to get going again - just need a bit of inspiration........I may have a wander in blogland later........

Hello Rusty, Rainmac, Margaret, et all!

Long time no speak, hope you're all ok??

Sorry, I just hardly have time to post on here anymore, what with longer hours at work.

I wonder though, if you can help me out again - I know you can - lol.

I'm still really busy doing wedding stationery and I've been asked to do some cheque book style invites. They look simple enough, but I wonderd if anyone had any step by step instructions at all, as I can't really find anything suitable when I google for them?

    Many thanks,

    Sal

Another oldie here popping by to say "Hello"

Been back crafting again for the past couple of weeks after having a break to look after my Mum when she had a nasty fall plus I have a frozen shoulder which is giving me constant pain. Sorry but I just couldn't be bothered to join in with anything, too busy feeling sorry for myself I think lol.

I have made and blobbed a few cards and entered a few challenges, then today I found out I had won a prize so that cheered me up. Anyone know of any good tutorials for Saturated Canary Hair colouring with Copics?

I hope you are all well, I did pop in to read a couple of times but it appeared the thread had gone to sleep and no one was posting :-) Its great to see you are all still around and hope those who have been on holidays have had a fab time.

Sal, sorry I can't help with the invites. Good luck with them.

As for die cutting machines I have a Cuttlebug and Silhouette SD and love them both. As regards Oyster I found they took my money when things were out of stock and kept me hanging on until the next delivery, well over 2 weeks. I dont think thats on, when I want a product I want it yesterday not in 2 weeks time :rotfl:

    Hello Flourgirl!

How is your Mum now? Hope your shoulder is beetter too?

Don't worry about the cheque book invites, I fathomed it out myself - LOL.

Does anyone remember those little triangle candy boxes we used to make from one piece of 12 x 12, they were just folded, there wasn't any glue or faffing about involved?

I've been trying to find the instructions for that, but can't?

    Hi Sal

Mums a lot better thank you, although her shoulder has 2 broken bones sticking up a bit like the broken end of a chicken bone...yuk!! there is nothing they can do as her bones are too soft to plate and pin so its a case of making do, they are fusing together very slowly. My frozen shoulder is no better and the physio thinks it will take at least another 18months. Hey Ho..... at least I'm managing a bit of crafting :-)

Have you looked on Splitcoast Stampers for some instructions? I can't remember either.

LindseyandMatthew. Your Christmas card is lovely, they snowman has a nice cheeky smile, thank you for showing it to us.

Yoo Hoo Marge, hope you are ok, I was thinking about you yesterday, DH had a day out at Breighton, they had a fly in, he took some lovely piccies. Wondered if your DH went.
