Sugar Coated Owl  I love your new username, you do make lovely cards already I have one to prove it. :D

Not been on here much been busy at work have made a card, must get around to actually getting back into blob land. I have a list of things to make for Christmas but don't think I will get them done. I am going to make green tomato chutney this year seeing as I don't have a single red tomato yet

I would like a cutting machine...been looking on internet but haven't got a clue really. Can anyone recommend a good one please? I'd like to be able to make more professional looking cards as I've now decided to make all the greetings cards I send instead of buying them.

Hello. I've recently started making all the cards I send and it's going well so far! Mostly decoupage or cross stitch cards so far but hoping to have a go at lots of different methods! Hope you don't mind me joining the discussion :)

  • Hi all, as some of you might know I'm back in hospital for the foreseeable future so I have a lot of time on my hands. I've got some card making materials with me which is good. I made 4 cards yesterday :) I gave one to my Dad and posted one to my Mum, Grandad and a friend who is also in hospital and a big card making fan. I hope they like them.

This morning I practiced rubber stamping - my first time ever. I actually enjoyed it. I coloured one image using pencils and another with pro-markers and I definitely prefer the one done in markers. They make the image look so professional. I was going to make a card but I need something to stamp the image onto as the markers go through the other side IYKWIM.

Anyway, with all this time on my hands I'm going to look at some of your homepages and see what lovely cards you have made and hopefully pick up some tips.

Sorry I've not been about but with both hubby and tall child home at the moment I've been hiding in my hobbit hole (craft room) and got the sewing machine out - have been desperately trying not to spend any money on stash as hubby lurks at the letter box for the postie so I have to admit to what I'm ordering :o

Have also been cross stitching as I have to keep him company in front of the telly and I can't sit and just do nowt.

In answer to your query Rainmac - I get so much time as there are only 3 of us here, tall child only comes in to eat and sleep and as we've only been here 3 months we're still fairly tidy plus I do my housework at about 8am so have the rest of the day :D
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p
