Sun Holiday Reviews

Hiya!
I know there are quite a few Sun Holiday threads going round but unless someone is specifically asking its all about how to get them rather than what places are like.
Of course Trip Advisor is a great site but as most of us are in the same boat i thought i would start a thread off with any reviews from where we have all been with maybe a few ratings...
This way people can have a look in one thread for ideas or if wanting to know about a place ask for a review in the hope someone can help out.
So im thinking a review no matter how long you want to put and then marks out of 10 for...
Easiness of location
Suitability for elderly/disabled
Amount of attractions on site
Local things for people to do
Good for kids, toddlers to teens
Cleanliness
Helpfulness of staff
General marks out of 10 for whole experience
Hope this is of some help to some xx

Ive only done one so ill start off with mine:
Location was Waterside Park Holidays Paignton
Date October 2011
Suitability for elderly/disabled 7/10
Amount of attractions on site 6/10
Local things for people to do 10/10
Good for kids, toddlers to teens 5/10
Cleanliness 8/10
Helpfulness of staff 8/10
General marks out of 10 for whole experience 8/10
Drove approx 5 hours to location, quite easy to find but not right next to anything else, Lovely sea views if you are on the right spot. Checked in fine got given entertainment passes but never got asked for them at all.
Caravan very clean very very roomy, 4 bedrooms living room kitchen dining room and this was on a basic booking, no upgrade.
Parking for 2 cars next to caravan.
Electric heaters in rooms and gas fire in living room.
Saw an outdoor pool but not in use due to time of year.
One shop expensive
One restaurant/cafe ate once, woudnt ever return, pricy and not very nice at all, probably using end of season food up. Approx £7 for fish and chips and def not fresh!!
Only went into evening entertainment twice, drinks costly about 6 amusements for kids a bit of a show going on but hardly anyone there so the noise was deafening due to the echo,
Staff looked unimpressed and locked up before end of night.
Only had to ask for a bulb and another query, both answered quickly.
Wi fi only worked if i sat on the floor in the arcade and balanced laptop.
Location was pretty not too cramped and only took 10 mins to drive into Paignton itself which is lovely, also went into Torquay which is fantastic busy shopping great views lovely walk around harbour. Also went to Totnes which is beautiful steep roads but some lovely shops a real nice afternoon out.
Ate out every night at a local Hungry Horse or chinese both of which were nice.
Overall i would pick this place again for the location, very quiet it seemed but if i wanted more to do on camp i wouldn't necessarily go back

primrose valley
Easiness of location Really easy to get to by car and by bus. we travelled by car but saw the bus everyday which comes right into the park
Suitability for elderly/disabled seemed quite disabled friendly
Amount of attractions on site loads to do for the kids, great park, great pool. fab shows at night
Local things for people to do loads to do nearby. Flamingo land theme park, sea life centre, fab days out in bridlington or scarborough, loads of farms nearby to visit.
Good for kids, toddlers to teens excellent for all ages
Cleanliness park was really clean and tidy
Helpfulness of staff staff were great, always had fab service
General marks out of 10 for whole experience 10 we love this park
Hope this is of some help to some xx

Hiya!
Haggerston castle
Easiness of location in the middle of no where, didnt see a bus, would most likely need a car
Suitability for elderly/disabled disabled access was available although there were no paths between the caravans and the entertainment complex so had to walk along the road which was quite dangerous at night ( as we all know a lot at these places drink and then drive back to their vans)
Amount of attractions on site pool was ok, 1 slide, showbar small and could never get a table, park was tiny and really dirty. there is a lake with boats which is good and a stables with pony rides but at £15 for 20 min ride is very expensive. evening entertainment was very good
Local things for people to do most attractions nearby are castles
Good for kids, toddlers to teens better for older children
Cleanliness the play area was filthy with litter spilling out of all the bins
Helpfulness of staff staff seemed ok, the funstars or what ever they are were fabulous
General marks out of 10 for whole experience 5 really didnt like the park and wont be going back
Hope this is of some help to some xx
We just didnt like haggerston castle and wont be going back0 -
