    Hello All
Well nothing exciting happening with me, had few odd aches and pains and that's about it!
Seen a few bits about IKEA on the thread over the last couple of days, I bought my cot and mattress from IKEA, as well as a cot quilt, some cot sheets and waterproof undersheet and a sleeping bag. Really pleased with purchases although obviously not tested on baby yet.
This is the cot I have

    Sleeping bag

    Cot mattress

Really love IKEA and I find their furniture good value so I'm sure these will live up to expectations.

Eugh what a long weekend. Yesterday traipsed round shops cos i decided I needed to get hospital bag packed. I know I have 3.5 months to go but I starting to have a panic. I think it's because I am normally in control and since we don't yet know where my other half is going to get his new position in his job ( could be anywhere in uk) I can't control that side of things so I'm being over prepared for everything else! Subconscious panic lol cause on the surface I feel reasonable ok about the lack of knowledge re the move.

Hayfever still driving me absolutely mad. Eyes swollen and runny nose blocked as head fuzzy.

House is a tip and tons of revision to do but feel yuk so can't get motivated. My mum also comes to visit in a couple of weeks so I need to get house spotless for that. My mum won't tolerate anything less.

My daughter has been a bit poorly with a cough so has been cranky with me which is grr. My boyfriend also even poorly do I seen him once all week and no sex or even kisses cos his lips are all ulcerated :(

Sorry this is a really moany post. Hope all is ok with u guys.

Sorry to hear your having a bad time of it. :(

My hayfever is playing up too & I've been sneezing all day.

I'm sure your mum won't care if your house isn't immaculate after all she was pregnant once too so don't put too much pressure on yourself.
I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

THANKS BCS but u havent met my mum lol - she was pregnant with me when she was 17 and was the wonderful housewife she can cook clean and multitask - i am the opposite - depsite being a single parent to a gorgeous 4 year old i just cant seem to keep on top of things
the last time she came to visit and stayed at mine was a year ago and we had a huge blowout - she criticised my whole life nad and we didnt talk for 3 months. whilst i think i am in a different place now and she sees that i am stil messy and disorganised as ever and i know this drives her nuts - when i make the effort to get things ready for her which will probalby be two days of straight cleaning she will still complain and make me feel inadequate :(

My mum has a way of making me feel inadequate. She phones me and asks me what I am making OH for dinner etc. When I said soup I get told that it won't feed him I should make something more filling and do this that and the other.

I conquered it by saying that it is good luck if I actually get out of bed of a day anything else is a bonus. It seems to have stopped her moaning at me quite as much :D

lol kitten thats a good comeback

i think my mum also forgets that i am an actual full time student - not one of these dossy two lectures a week types - i am in uni most days 8.30-5.00 - then im looking after my daughter until bed - attempting to do work - at weekends i feel so guilty for not seeing daugehter much during week that i feel bad leaving her in fornt of tv to do housework so it just doesnt get done! i look around in despair not know where to start!

I want to do houswork but just don't have the motivation to start. It tends to get left and then I will blitz the place. Thankfully I got the motivation this week (can't remember what day) but should hopefully keep us going a while.

OH is great though. He does most of the washing and cooking etc so I just have the guilt to do :D

I'm so glad it isnt just me with a messy house :o i look at the disorganised mess and think I WILL tackle this today.. I manage to get one thing done and it kills me so noting else gets done :o and then the oh has the nerve to have a go with me... I tell you what when ive had this baby he can do the looking after while i do the housework and that will be wrong too!! cannot win!! i need a house cleaning fairy! or failing that a nice naked male cleaner would do nicely ;):o

My Mum was playing squash up until her last week of pregnancy with both of us - she keeps on going on at me about how I need to be doing more exercise, and that I must be really unfit (been complaining about the ligament pains and also hips hurting at night). I just told her that I wouldn't have been doing that pre-pregnancy anyway, and that if I was so unfit, then why is it that every time they check my blood pressure, they say it's "perfect". I also told her that they recommend gentle exercise in pregnancy, such as walking, swimming and pregnancy yoga, and as I have no intention of spending £6 a time to go to our local swimming pool or joining a yoga class, that the walking I'm doing will have to do.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

my lot are the opposite - telling me to stop doing things all the time! have to point out im preggers, not terminally ill, and ive done this twice before with no disasters! they had fits when i told them we just took on an allotment as well:rotfl:

miss_money - you made me laugh with the bin bags, one of our #1 tactics! hunny calls them ET's - empty threats. thing is, kids know with me its not an ET;)

spent today looking through my sons baby clothes and working out what i want for this baby. washed it all and put into plastic boxes with lids, by size, so they are scarily organised. most unlike me.
