I told myself yesterday that if I had some chocolate biscuits with my cup of tea in the afternoon, I would have an apple as my evening snack. I did have the apple after my dinner but then about 9pm I was hungry again so had another cup of tea with chocolate biscuits

Thanks Emsbet and Sexymouse, I know from previous experience what can happen when you have parvo virus (which is what slapped cheek is) as my auntie had it when she was pregnant with her 1st and her baby was born sleeping at 24 weeks so I think thats adding to the worry. Just hoping the test results come through today and not Tuesday.
It's actually the young daughter of the Auntie I just mentioned who has slapped cheek and so my auntie is beating herself up over it and feeling bad which i feel terrible for. I keep telling her that it's not her fault and that kids get poorly but i know it must be horrible for her.
As for sleep, I was half asleep this morning and went to pull the duvet up to get snuggly only in a half asleep state i grabbed my OH's nipple and yanked instead, he didn't half scream lol xYou never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Thanks: ) I'm not sure if he'd react to them, as some of the ones we've tried have oils in them? Can't decide whether to give it a go or stick with what's safe! I guess having the material it's only the cost of the oil.
Sexymouse, I've not tried those particular nappies to know if they're any good, but the washing I don't find too much hard work. I started with disposables for the first few weeks, and still have them in the house for nights and long trips out. So if I have a washing emergency or just plain can't be bothered at that point, I have a backup.
Obviously I haven't tried them yet, but a lot of the reviews mention that people who's babies had reactions to the disposable wipes improved with the washables - also a lot of mentions about how much easier it is to clean up after poos, which would help with sensitive bums too I should thinkLittle monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
The thing that annoys me, is when people touch your bump and say, "hello baby" and then say, "you don't mind do you?" It's a bit bloomin late if I did!!
you need to jump in there with your hand on their tummy, and say "Hello tummy!" and then "you don't mind do you?" they will soon get the picturexx

Glad your dog is back safe Dizzi, you must be so relieved, I remember I thought my heart stopped when our little lad ran away and the adrenaline rush when we got him back was crazy!
Sexymouse, we have a trial pack of totsbots and a trial bambino mio nappy, the totsbots are softer and seem like they might be more absorbent but I guess we wont know till we try em! I am keen to go the washables route too, I would say at that price second hand you can't really go wrong, if you found you didn't like them you could sell them on yourself for about the same price I'd imagine. I showed the trial ones to my mam, she couldn't believe how much nicer than the traditional terry squares they are!
Feeling really low today, midwife called earlier to cancel my sweep appointment and ask me to make it Sunday instead, feel really down, I just want to meet my little girl and am getting impatient and increasingly lonely stuck in the houseshe also said they're quite busy for inductions on Thur but I've been told they want to deliver by Thur because of LO being on the small side so I had to insist on the phone that they book it in and not wait until Sunday.
On the plus side I guess I'm more likely to make the wedding tomorrow but I really don't feel very sociable, feel like I've run out of decent conversation and sort of forgotten how to talk to people, and I find it frustrating when people ask how many days over I am etc! I also don't feel that confident in the dress I have bought, oh dear, I sound so miserable I think I'd better make a cuppa and have a couple of biccies to cheer myself up a bit!0 -
Ikkle, I'm sorry to read that you have the worry about slapped cheek. As if there aren't enough things to worry about in pregnancy already. I hope you get your test results back today and that everything is okay.
I am going to DH's brother-in-law's funeral this afternoon. It's going to be a very emotional day I think.0 -
And now we have the award for best Oscar - for her portrayal of wounded greyhound at death's door, lying on the floor because she's too weak to make it onto a sofa... I tend to work on the assumption that if we've got the energy up to moan and groan and be melodramatic (greyhounds are collossal drama queens) we're on the mend a bit - it's better than the deatlhly silence she was lying there in earlier. She's got bandages on all 4 paws at the moment for various cuts till we can get her to the vets this afternoon (have to go register the baby's birth first - it's such a wait for appointments here that we really can't afford to cancel it) - so she doesn't like how it feels funny when she walks and hasn't quite figured out how to limp with all 4 legs to avoid having to use the funny feeling legs.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0

:rotfl:Miss_Money I think MIL would have a fit if I did that to her - she was the main culprit!
Sorry to hear you're feeling low today Amymo - thanks for the advice on the reusable nappies. My friend used reusables with her last baby and is planning to use them again with this one, so I'll ask her what brand she used when I see her tomorrow too. I have heard that the totsbots ones are meant to be good.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170 -
Hugs Amymo. I hope you manage to enjoy yourself at the wedding (and I'm sure you look lovely in your dress!).0

lost a bit more plug this morning, aeg! i just want to go into labour right now! i am not a patient person at the best of times and I'm willing little girl out all day every day lol :rotfl: actaully i have been doing since monday when i hit 37 weeks!
Sexymouse- im the type of person that WOULD do it to the MIL just to give her a taste of how annoying it can bebut then i dont have a MIL to contend with anymore. Dan has cut his family out of our lives (his decision, I back him 100% his childhood was abusive and NOT normal!!) I just hope to god they dont turn up when baby is born 'cos dan would ring the police!
