I made some fleece liners, I keep looking at them and wondering if they'd do as wipes as well. I have tons of material left, only £5 for a metre and I haven't even used half of it. Only thing that puts me off is wondering what to soak them in that won't also bring him out in a rash.

In our wipes set there are clean/dirty essential oils - you fill the box with water, add a few drops of the oil blend and put the wipes in, should stay fresh for a few days. (guess you could use a tupperware?) Dirty box is lined with a mesh bag for the washing machine, and filled with water/oil ready for the yucky ones!
You can buy the oils separately here :) hth

My DH does this, I'm regularly woken by an elbow in the eye socket! Luckily no damage yet, but it's really annoying!

I also had a terrible nights sleep, in fact I've not slept through the night for weeks, often wake up between 3-4am to go to the loo and then can't get back to sleep :o My brain's too busy, I need to learn to switch it off.

Missmonkeymoo, do you know where your placenta is? (it should say in your notes from your anomaly scan). If it's anterior that might be the reason you've not really felt movements, especially if baby is lying directly behind it. Also if baby favours facing your back you won't feel the movements as much.

Re the bump, someone asked me the other day if I was sure there was only one in there!! Cheeky s0d! Ive just decided to be proud of my bumpiness :) My main concern is the weight I'm putting on elsewhere due to me being so hungry at the moment and eating lots of biscuits and chocolate in the day :(

Pleased to hear that doogie is back Dizzi. Hope it's wounds recover soon and the vet isn't too expensive for you.

Wishing you luck for your scan today mishka - I'm sure all will go well - will be thinking of you though. Don't forget to take something sweet along with you incase you have a baby in an awkward position like I had - I had to go to the hospital vending machine to get a chocolate bar (not very MSE) - will be taking a carton of apple juice with me next week as Bean seems to get very active when I have apple.

ikkle - best of luck for your blood test results today - I had no idea that you'd been exposed as well as emylou. As emsbet has said, the hospital told me, that it was likely that I'd been exposed to it as a child without developing the full symptoms, as in children, it can just come accross as a cold if they don't develop the red cheeks. My Mum had no idea that I'd had it (I asked her as soon as I knew). If they don't detect immunity, they will probably monitor you more closely (scans every 1-2 weeks until they are sure that there is no evidence of the baby having it - I think in the baby it causes some sort of anaemia from what I read online, which could need a blood transfusion in the womb if it gets really bad). How many weeks are you now? I'm sure everything will be ok though, so try not to get too worried (I know it's easier said than done, as I was bricking it when I had to wait for my results, especially as I developed bleeding a few days later).

RE: reusable nappies - does anyone have any experience of using the bambino mio nappies? I met a lady at the baby sale the other day who was selling a used birth to toddler set for £50 and wasn't sure whether to buy or not (is this a good deal). I have her phone number as she didn't have them with her, but not sure whether it's worth contacting her or not. I like the idea of reusable nappies, but not sure if I can be organised enough to wash them every other day, as our washing machine etc can only be accessed by going outside (in the garage).

Feel better vibes to all who need them, good luck to those who need luck, labour vibes for those who need those, and hugs for everyone.

Good luck with the scan today Mishka :)

Dizzi Am glad your dog has returned, not quite the same but we have a cat who loves to roam for days on end without coming home and it scares me witless everytime he does it :o

I too had a bad nights sleep although it wasn't pregnancy related as such.... I can cope with the loo breaks every hour or so, the tossing and turning all night to get comfy etc. but it REALLY annoys me when I fall asleep and my neighbours (we call the woman mouth almighty), start arguing at 4am, shouting at the top of their voices in the adjacent room :mad::mad: It went on for about 1/2 hour... was not a happy bunny as took me ages to settle after that :(

Molly41 Please keep posting, your advice will be invaluable to many here :)

People keep saying how small my bump is, I said to OH last night I am getting a bit of a complex about it :o I kind of just wish people would keep their bump comments to themselves :o

    Hope all ok :)

The thing that annoys me, is when people touch your bump and say, "hello baby" and then say, "you don't mind do you?" It's a bit bloomin late if I did!!

Thanks Emsbet - have just checked me notes and it says Anterior not low, so that might explain it! That's put my mind at rest a bit! And good to know I'm not the only one receiving inapproproate comments! I feel sometimes that now I'm pregnant it's like everyone thinks they have public access to my life! I genuinely don't mind those that are just interested and wish us well, but some others need to learn about boundaries! Not sure if I said before, but a colleague at work was asking me a couple of weeks ago if I had felt baby move and when I said no, he said that he would be coming over for a feel when it did! Errrr, how about 'no'? He then thought it was ok to ask me last week if I had started wearing elasticated waistbands! I know he doesn't mean anything by it, but please engage brain first!

As for chocolate and biscuits, totally with you on that one! I made chocolate biscuit cake for my friends birthday the other day and kept a little back for me and OHl he has now decided that I need to make this regularly! I have a stash of fruit shortcake biscuits by my bed and I find that I really start to want to eat sugary sweet things from around 8pm onwards! I try so hard to be good, but I always cave in round that time! :rotfl:

    Morning lovely ladies

Good luck to those having scans or tests/getting results/awaiting arrivals.

Glad to hear your doggie turned up Dizzi, hope her paws recover soon.

Seems to have been a crappy nights sleep all round, I had to jump out of bed a few times in the night because my hips were so sore. Not as bad this morning as I'd expected though so that's good.

I had only bought 2 packs of maternity pads as I'd forgotten just how bad the bleeding can be after birth. Think I blocked a lot of stuff out after first birth and it was so long ago. So glad this conversation happened, I will be stocking up on some more.

Thanks to Alizee for the Halfords link, got one of those changing mats on order and despite not living on the mainland (and they only deliver there) they've emailed to say it's dispatched :T

Hope you all have a good day, I'm off to make naughty chewy chocolate chunk cookies :)

LOL I was just about to head out to the shop but had to share with you a leaflet I got through the door re. the elections tomorrow....

It is asking me to vote for the C.R.A.P Party (Citizens Revolting Against Politicians)... made me giggle :p

In case anyone wondered... the C.R.A.P party picked up a whopping 70 votes yesterday (just checked online) and no... I wasn't one of them :p

Thanks: ) I'm not sure if he'd react to them, as some of the ones we've tried have oils in them? Can't decide whether to give it a go or stick with what's safe! I guess having the material it's only the cost of the oil.

Sexymouse, I've not tried those particular nappies to know if they're any good, but the washing I don't find too much hard work. I started with disposables for the first few weeks, and still have them in the house for nights and long trips out. So if I have a washing emergency or just plain can't be bothered at that point, I have a backup.
