Enjoy picking new carpets Emsbet
I realised today that by the end of this month, we will have re-decorated all three bedrooms in our house, two of them with new carpets, since the beginning of the year. What with our new patio and the other small household jobs that are getting done, I'm loving this nesting aspect of pregnancy!MFW!

I want to sort our back garden out. We live on the side of a hill and it means that our garden is permanently water logged and so the grass doesn't really grow. I really wanted to get it decked but I think that's going to be too expensive so we are thinking of getting it paved instead. It's not a very big garden but I want it to be a nice little space for wriggler to play in in a few years time. Just need to find out how much it will cost so we can see if we can afford it.

That's excatly what I wanted, a lovely little play area for munchkin...and the patio means it will be much easier to clean up after the puppy dog too! We looked at decking but too expensive, we also live in a flood risk area so a large-ish patio was the best option all round.
Its funny how exciting I find sorting out the house and the garden now!MFW!

We've just finished our living room and I love it, new carpet and bouncy underlay for LO to crawl around on, we also redecorated the hall and nursery, kitchen and bathroom are relatively new but just in need of a good old clean, I've started on both today anyway!
One thing I'd love is a garden, we just have a yard but it's still a private space for LO to play in with the dog I guess!
Looking forward to hearing from Happy and sounds promising Charli! I have no twinges, no signs, nothing of note but I guess I'm still a way off, I just feel 'ready' now and I have always been an impatient person! Oh well, bf class and haircut later this week to keep me occupied! Have realised that without my travel pass I resent paying for individual bus tickets so will have to get good at planning days to be more economical, I'm already a bit bored of being cooped up!0 -

Aww lovely
I've just done the washing up and ironing. Waiting for DH to get home now so we can go order some new carpets for all the rooms upstairs! Been waiting 2 years to have them done, they are all scanky and were the ones that were here when DH bought the house 8 years ago!
xx
How nice, need to move my @ss and get my washing done. Not sure about ironing
All this talk of house works! We just had a chat as well that we would probably get someone in to do the cloakroom in the end (well, change the sink and the loo), repainting we would do ourselves. And also we would like our 'library' sorted out so that involves replastering and laying wooden floors, new skirting boards. Painting would be something we have to do ourselves again, can't keep spending so much. And one job we can get done once the little ones are here is replacing the carpet in the hallway, stairs and landing. It is manky, somehow every spring it comes up with cat pee smell (we do have a cat and previous owners did, but I can never find a wet patch!, so m guess is as it warms up and gets more humid the smell returns). Oh, and it has a 'lovely' pattern as well!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Sounds like our hallway/stairs/landing carpet. I really want to change it but budget won't stretch at the moment. Unfortunately it's the most hideous I've ever seen! It's dark green with massive pink flowers on (was here when DH moved in). It's a good quality carpet though and doesn't need changing I just want to change it. Also there is often a weird smell in the hallway but I think that's DH's shoes

Hi
Not yet only saw it today...might keep an eye on them though.Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. Oh, and I managed to get out of the house in the end. I went to retail park with big Boots hoping to get maternity tights only to find out they don't stock any! Will try another shop tomorrow and if not, it will have to be online order and hope it arrives on time.
So, instead I got Ewan the dream sheep with my Boots points (so now have less that £450 worth). I never spend them, as if I can get something a lot cheaper elsewhere, my head and hands don't let me buy from Boots (like baby monitor - it is £89.99 in Boots, I got it for £69 from Amazon).
Then went to Asda and was so happy I found maternity wear there (no tights), and bought yoga pants. The only thing it did not have label attached, and I trusted what it said n the hanger. Only to find out when I got home that I can't fit npin them! They are size 8 instead of 14 that I thought I bought! If anyone can make use of them let me know - I can post them to you or they will go to charity shop as I don't want the hassle trying to return them without the label.
I also got some more cotton wool, tommee tippee bibs on offer, bottle brush, emergency supply of ready made formula milk (4 cartons of Aptimil, so if the worst happens we have two feeds hopefully and enough time to run to the shop to get more). And got ome sweets (Haribo bears, werther's originals, toblerone chocolates, dried apples, pears and dates for me to snack on). Still need to get ome drinks. I don't like ribena, so might just ge some juice packets, and would like some of those smoothies in squeezable packets as well, I love them.
Oh, and got us some strudel, which is in the oven as we speak, and will be demolished with apprentice.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -

Ours is red with weird pattern. It is very dirty, I had the rug doctor a few times in the last 3 years we lived here, but it still looks like it has never been cleaned! By the door is even more noticeable, as there is supposed some white in th pattern, but it looks beige there! I definitely don't want babies crawling on that dirt!
I have a money pot with £2 coins that I have been collecting for a few years now for my baby fund, so might cave bn and use that. I know there is over £600 in there, as being. Number geek I have the weigh of th jar and the weight of the coin to calculate how much I collected!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0
