I don't know what's going on with me tonight - don't know if I should ring anyone or what...

Basically 33, almost 34 (I tick over on a Tuesday) weeks and baby's not engaged (or wasn't at the midwife on Wednesday and I don't feel like I've got a bowling ball appeared between my legs since then) but is head down, had some periody type pains I assume are the start of my BHicks for about a week or so now, and tonight I'm getting stomach pains every 5ish minutes or so - but my stomach's not going hard (hard and my stomach haven't belonged in the same sentence since I was about 14), and I've just been to the loo to be greeted by a ball of lady-bit snot with some tiny streaks of blood in it.

Don't even know if I should mention it to hubby... but blood out of my lady bits always freaks me out anyway for obvious reasons - and being so far off term worries me a LOT.

Don't know if the frequency of the pains have dropped off since I sat up (was lying on the sofa) - just dunno what to think at all, but with it being a bank holiday it's kinda limiting on who I can ring, if indeed anyone.

Your local maternity ward should have a 24 hour number, maybe give them a ring even if it's just to put your mind at rest.

Phone the hospital dizzi! Even for reassurance. Keep an eye out for any wetness or fluid toi and maybe put a pad on.

Haven't even dared tell my husband I'm having fairly regular pains to be honest yet (don't wanna worry him after the hell we've been through - this would just be the final kick in the teeth further for us). Keep wondering if the pains are dying down and then another comes in, low down and around my back - but I don't know if I just need a really good fart or if it's anything more sinister.

Is there somewhere in the house you can make the call without your DH hearing? Then if the hospital think its nothing to worry about then you don't need to tell him if you don't want to.

Dizzi - I would definitely phone them. And tell your husband. Better to get some advice and if they are worried at all they will see you. Reassurance is a lot better than a night of worry. X
