Oh dear Gin, that isn't good. You would think with having a young child he wound want his property to be safe. I guess some people just have different priorities.
I felt like Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz at some points last night. I didn't know where in the country I would wake up.
Are you still going looking for your dress today?

That is exactly what I would have though - wouldn't you want to be sure that the fence is not going to collapse on your daughter one day? If it was me with a small child, it would have been sorted long time ago. Like the fence panel - it cost us less than £20 per panel, surely you can try and save £20 over few weeks and replace it (I think we were with no fence between us for about 6 months, and then we just did most of the row on our expense)

Well, I sent a text to my friend just to confirm if we are still on for tonight. I think it will be ok driving to Trafford, just go a bit slower in this gale. The only problem it seems that Trafford Centre is very scarce of maternity clothing. I know there is M&P, and there is one dress that is possible, but I would need a shawl or a sweater to cover up, as I am not expecting it to be 20+ degrees. And I am always cold. Even now that I am pregnant!!!!!

I can't believe it is lunch time already!!!!

    Morning happy

I'm ok thanks, just fed up now. Got my 14 year old sister here keeping me company.

Hope your wind eases soon - on a separate wind issue, mine has been really bad since i was swept yesterday!! But as the uterus and something to do with wind is all connected then it is all to be expected.

Not got a lot planned today.

Hope everyone else is ok and the wind and sh!tty weather hasn't done too much damage.

Flutterby - I have a question. The sweep the MW has booked me in for is the afternoon of Callums parents evening at school. It is 5-9 and is his first in this school seeing his individual subject teachers etc. I really want to go if possible cos I want to know how he's going on. Do you think I could risk it having had a sweep or should I try and change the day of it. It's also a good half hour drive to and from the school and I am conscious I will be on my own. Or do you think I'm worrying and should just get it done?

Right, read 40 pages of the report (I promised to the client that I will finish this even if I am on holiday/maternity leave), so only another 400 or so to go, but it is a way ahead.

Now, I better get some lunch, shower and change out of my PJs into something I can wear in public and go to Trafford to meet my friend. I booked a table for us at Pizza Express and since it is Wednesday, and I have Orange contract, we can have pizzas at 2 for 1! Isn't that MSE?...

Well after mine yesterday I was fine - it all depends on how ready baby is really.

I was told the week before that id my cervix was favourable and baby ready I would have it within 24 hours of sweep. I was told I may bleed and may lose a lot of discharge, none of which have happened! In my own mind though, for me, I know I got pregnant on 2nd July, which is 40 weeks on Saturday. So baby is not ready.

Some people start off within an hour, so really I would not like to say either way cos you could be ready or days off. How far gone will you be?

oh yeah laura TMI ALERT should say that if you are goin to be waxed get them to take a strip off across the top, i was cought unawears so wasnt as trim as id have liked to have been and a few stray hairs actually got cought up in the stitch!!! not nice!!

In my information leaflet it says not to shave the area at the top, they will do it if it needs doing for infection control reasons. I think I should be ok though getting the waxing done a few days in advance so the skin has a chance to settle. The last thing I want is anyone shaving down there!!!

I have my appointment for the job centre. It's on Tuesday at lunch time. If nothing else it should keep my mind occupied for a while which is good (Tuesday would have been Alex's due date :()

    xx

Awww hon, I bet it will be emotional for you, but he is looking down on you and has given you such a lovely present to help cherish him in your heart and remember him by.

Good luck at the job centre - think of me, i will be being induced next Tuesday if nothing by then!!

I will be 40+2. Like you though I know exactly when I conceived and by my dates will be 40+6.
I guess it's just because I would feel so nervous going knowing that it was a possibility. I know it could happen anyway, regardless of the sweep, and knowing my luck I'd be the idiot whose waters broke whilst talking to his maths teacher and would need an ambulance to take me to the hospital and no way to get my car home. Sounds like a good plot line though!!!

I was 40+5 yesterday according to scan dates. Could risk it and sell your story to thats life, take a break and hello magazines and cash in on it ;)

    Maybe best to rearrange honey.
